Universes collides. Companies get reboots. Rebuilds.
So WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, decided to "shake up" RAW and SmackDown, even NXT (eventually)!
The week after WrestleMania 33 is full of NXT wrestlers debuting in RAW and SmackDown Live. The Revival, Shinsuke Nakamura, Tye Dillinger made their entrance in the main rosters. Emma finally returned in a match. Fin Balor returned! NXT is sort of a renewed with Drew McIntyre's signing and Aleister Black's debut.
But where is the women's division in that "shake up" situation, upon us, next week?
Bayley and Sasha Banks appealed not to be separated again! Emma doesn't care where will end - she wants opportunities and competition. The "Shake up" will change the landscame like an earthquake, for sure! It's nice idea and it's a reference to the post-WrestleMania traditional Draft in the previous years.
Who will be traded? Who will be affected?
First we think that the Champions must be immune to traids and everything near by. So, eventually Bayley and Naomi are out of the trading picture, Asuka - too! Men's tag team division is in risk to be damaged, it the GMs decided to separate teams. Neither RAW, neither SmackDown Live have a well established women's tag team division. We have alliances, which are short-living, most of the time. Both women's division are constructed on strong individualism.
If NXT's roster is involved, that may mean the end of the Iconic Duo of Billie Kay and Peyton Royce or their draft as a team! Actually if there is any women's division that might receive damage this is the NXT's. At this moment we have officially included 9 women in the Official roster. I can point on three women ready to be drafted and these are the Iconic Duo (to any of the two main brand) and Liv Morgan (to RAW), eventually. Asuka is main roster material, but as the NXT Women's champion, they will not drafting her, before she lose her title to Moon, eventually!
Of course drafting talents from NXT, will mean that new spots will be available and we want to see more new faces, next to Ruby Riot! While the trading between SmackDown and RAW will be limited to exchange of talents, the real game-changing factor are the newcomers from NXT! If you,for example, put the Iconic Duo in any main brand, that will drastically change the picture.
So this "shake up" will be something that we will have a closer look at, because the possibilities are limitless!
