Around the enthusiasm over the AEW women's tag team tournament and nostalgically reminding myself bout WWE Mixed Match Challenge, I thought that there is one kind of tag team that is not very well explored by the leading wrestling promotions. The mixed tag team stage!
First, I want to congratulate every single mixed promotion (with men's and women's rosters) with a women's tag team belts. Don't give up on them, despite some critical and malicious opinions. Women deserve to have their tag team belts, no matter what the general sexist's opinion is about 'the women's friendship and relationships'. I hope that WWE and AEW, eventually Impact, will learn from the mistakes and will use what they have as knowledge from the established men tag team's divisions and transform that knowledge and adapt it to women's tag teams - guys, start with a good tag team signature and finisher moves. Really, they need that! They deserve it.

Imagine Scarlett and Karrion Kross as a professional in-ring tag team dominant couple. Or The Garganos. Or Mia Yim and Keith Lee. Or whoever real-life or not couple awarded for their work together!!! The moment when the Mixed Tag Team wrestling is no more just a rare show of accidental alliances between men and women!
When it's for the title belts!

Actually, I hoped Mixed Match Challenge to turn into a Mixed tag team championship tournament, but it's okay for it to be a foundation for an idea that can cause the creation of a unique form of in-ring equality. Man and woman, holding a title as a sign of their real-life and/or professional relationship and, of course, being a total domination couple.
AAA has a AAA World Mixed Tag Team Championship, and I think several small promotions dare to explore those dynamics. It's challenging and demanding as creativity and pairing the right people in a specific tag team, but it also sounds exciting and exotic somehow. It's another goal to be achieved and to involve people in the work process. It's about more opportunities for people who are connected or just need fresh blood in their careers. It could be as epic and extreme as the rest of the belts.
Just think about it!
