AWOW TOP 10 OF 10 MAE YOUNG CLASSIC PICKS (OVERALL)

THE SPOILER ALERT WILL BE 'ON' FOR THIS TOP 10 OF 10!!! PLEASE DO NOT READ IF YOU DON'T WANT TO GET SPOILED!!!

IF YOU ARE FOLLOWING OUR PHILOSOPHY:
'I DON'T CARE WHAT THE RESULTS ARE, WHO AND WHEN  WON , I CARE HOW  THEY WON !' THEN YOU ARE WELCOME!!!

What will the month be without a Top 10 of 10?

Especially related to the women's event of the autumn - Mae Young Classic 2018!

Today we are counting our top 10 picks, who we kindly recommend  to don't miss a move by them in the ring. We will be glad to hear more from you in the comments section bellow or on our Facebook page.

Let's the countdown begins:

XIA LI
(CHINA)

Some people will argue with this #10 pick but we have our sights set on Li and some other international NXT recruits for a long long time. We heard a lot of praise about this one specifically and most importantly we want to see more international stars in WWE, NXT, RAW, SDL, ect. Because these days USA is mostly related to xenophobia, racism, fascism instead of dreams, possibilities, positivism, humanism and equality! I , Michelle K. - founder of this page, believe that the arts (like wrestling) must not obey and bow down in front of the hate. It must not know limits in race, gender or other limits!

I want to see Xia Li building a career in NXT, next to Tegan Nox (Wales), Kavita Devi(India), Taynara Conti (Brazil), Dakota Kai (New Zealand) and Rhea Ripley (Australia). I am putting her here also, because this year she passed round one defeating one of the toughest ROH Women of Honor representatives - Karen Q. , the woman who defeat Kelly Klein, in there. Li defeated her and fall to someone more Virtuous in the second round!

I really hope to see more China, after MYC, and I am sure that this lady is ready to shake off NXT - officially!

MERCEDES MARTINEZ
(USA)

I had fought out my irritation from the announcement that participants from the last year will take part of this year's tournament. I get used to the fact and embrace it! So when I read that Mercedes Martinez and my personal favorite Mia Yim, will appear for a second time, I was 'Wow! That's great! I love these women's work in the ring! I love their matches last year in the tournament! I love that!'

What can be said about Mercedes Martinez, that hadn't be said yet?

She's great and she is one of those Iconic women, who will bring the real experience in the bracket, next to Vanessa Kraven, Nicole Matthews, Allysin Kay and Ashley Rayne. I know that this year she was slain by a much bigger force in round 2, but I am so happy and glad to see WWE paying respect and calling her back! I hope one day, when we have all-women show on WWE Network, like 205 Live, that she in front of many other ladies will be first in line to be signed for it.

Welcome back, Mercedes! You deserve it!!!

DEONNA PURRAZZO
(USA)

Despite the fact that she wasn't allowed to represent Italy, like the last year, we can only be happy, on cloud 9, about The Virtuosa appearance in MYC 2018 (after her role of alternate in the previous year's tournament) and signing with WWE!

Belive me her Fujiwara Armbar submission lead her far in the tournament this year, just to meet three-headed Godzila's one head,  in the Quarter-finals! We admire that all the work this young lady had done these past two-three years finally got rewarded and honored by WWE. She is really a virtuous competitor and we hope to see her added soon to NXT's main roster, because she deserves it! We hope to see the same happening with Tessa Blanchard and Rachel Evers as well!

TEGAN NOX

(WALES)

The Girl with the Shiniest Wizard is here!

After a knee injury, that sidelined her last year, Tegan is back and hungrier for fame and the crown of MYC 2018! Unfortunately, the bad luck ambushed her at the Quarter-finals and this young lady's journey ahead was delayed for the future!

I am not losing faith in this girl, as I am not losing it in another one, Britain zone girl (Paige, of course). I am sure that Tegan will be back on track, as soon as possible and we will enjoy one of the best talents in the world appearance in WWE NXT, WWE NXT UK and WWE, at all.

MIA YIM
(SOUTH KOREA)

One of the names that we constantly pointing (next to Ivelisse, Piper Niven and Jazzy Gabert), as WWE Must Sign Star!

We love Yim's style and we hope that this year she will make her Small Package Piledriver... but that is not the main thing. We are so happy that she is back and this year she reached the Quarter-Finals! She defeated several really good wrestlers, until she met a stormy weather. But overall we are ecstatic about Yim's presence and we really can't wait to see her matches.

Of course our dream to see her in WWE is not ending its course and we will continue to point at her asking: 'Hire this one, WWE! She's one of the best in the world!'...

LACEY LANE
(USA)

Our favorite Wild Card who survived on the way of the Quarter-finals, until she met the Mercedes Martinez's Slayer, the other, the experienced head of the three-headed Godzila.

Lane's challenges during the way in the bracket, are kind of similar as Purrazzo's opponents - some indies, some NXT recuits, but at the end she reached the finals. That means that she impressed WWE Creatives enough to allow her to escape the standard for NXT recruits - barely pass to Round 2 curse or epic fall in Round 1. We are really interested in this young talent and can't wait what , aside from her look, make her stunning in the ring.

I can smell that this one is great!

RHEA RIPLEY
(AUSTRALIA)

The newly acquired more aggressive and dominant attitude, is paying back to this young Aussie!

Now as we know the news, that she is the inaugural NXT UK Women's Champion, we can't be sorry for her absence from the NXT's main roster. Of course on top of it this year Ripley really ripped off the opponents on her way and reached really far in MYC. Last year her strong stream was cut off by Captain of the team Kicks - Dakota Kai, this year she was unstoppable!

I will say only that she met someone at the end, who was really better! Someone really a worldwide stardom class!

MEIKO SATOMURA
(JAPAN)

Okay! She is not #1, despite went through the tournament like fire through dry grass! I will explain why, on our FB page!

Until then, Satomura's participation in MYC 2018 can be described with one word and its synonymous: EPIC! Epic even in front of dark, stormy, grey clouds, that threatened her at the end! I think that WWE really hit the bulls eye with this one, because she brought experience, talent and world class to the tournament.

Epic!

TONI STORM
(AUSTRALIA)

We still remember Toni's last two final matches, in the inaugural tournament in 2017 - her 2nd round both against the stunning Piper Niven and her 3rd round epic battle against the tournament winner Kairi Sane! Let me say that this year, we might have a reply but on a highest level.

The highest possible!

This year is Storm's year definitely! Great match against Shayna Baszler, for the NXT Women's title, at WWE UK Tournament! Signing a WWE NXT UK, deal in a rare open-contract manner. Fighting for the opportunity to become the WWE NXT UK inaugural women's champion, reaching the final of the tournament!

Is Storm on her way to become 2018 Mae Young Classic Winner? Why not? She's on the roll and she is great, having it all - talent and charisma... There is only one obstacle and whole September on WWE Network, as we can watch what Toni could actually do and we will wait to get our answer until October, eventually!

IO SHIRAI
(JAPAN)

Shirai deserve admiration for many things!

Firstly, she didn't let a heart problem to darken her passion for wrestling. She overcame that issue and become even stronger, proving WWE and any doubter wrong! Japanese women are stronger and powerful. They fight for real for the things they love.

Secondly, she came back stronger, after the rejection last year!  WWE send Io home after they found about her heart issue last year and after many of us expected Shirai to join Kairi Sane in NXT! This year both WWE and Io surprised us and finally one of the biggest Japanese Superstars is here to build legacy starting with Mae Young Classic and we will see where her Evolution on USA wrestling scene will lead her further.

Thirdly, well I can't miss that fact! She defeated Pentagon Dark in Lucha Undrground and it was epic! She was named Hitokiri, for the show and thankfully to LU's budget issues and lack of interest and possibility in female talents hiring, Io is in WWE!!!

She is already making a history and we will follow her Evolution, closely!

Here are our honorable mentions:

AERIAL MONROE
This young, fresh indie talent is not a stranger for WWE's ring. Fans might remember her jobbing for Nia Jax on RAW. But Monroe is more than a jobber - she already appeared in many famous promotion including SHINE and SHIMMER. Who knows? Maybe one day we will see her in WWE PC's announcement for new class of recruits!

ALLYSIN KAY
(USA)

It's so great to see former KO and indie icon as Allysin, involved in this huge event, what MYC 2018 is! Respect and honor for one of the greatest brawlers on the indie scene.

ASHLEY RAYN
(USA)

Talking about KOs and Legends - well Madison Rayne is one of her own. She had faced many WWE Superstars like Mickie James, Gail Kim, OVW/DSW/FCW products like Angelina Love, Taryn Terrell. Her legacy is speaking on it's own! It's great to having her this year!

HIROYO MATSUMOTO
(JAPAN)

Many hopes and expectations are laying on this Japanese legendary female warrior's shoulders! She kind of did prove them all adequate with her first round match! Whatever happens, we know that her star is one of the brightest in these tournament and we just can't wait to see Lady Destroyer in action!

ISLA DAWN
(SCOTLAND)

The enigmatic Modern Witch, who slain the likes of Ivelisse Velez on the indie scene is arriving to MYC as part of the UK brand, as well. Representing Scotland, Dawn was looking to earn fame for herself as a fellow NXT Scotswoman Nikki Cross.

KAITLYN
(USA)

Welcome back! Former WWE Divas Champion one of the memorable out of the Diva type or better be said The Hybrid Diva, Kaitlyn will not disappoint us in this year's tournament, as well!
KAVITA DEVI
(INDIA)

The first ever Indian woman to step in WWE ring and to compete at WrestleMania! Devi might make her tutor The Great Khali, really proud. We are looking forward to see what this strong style Indian native could bring to the table not only at MYC 2018, but in NXT, overall!

KILLER KELLY
(PORTUGAL)

Someone we have our sight 101 % set on! The first Portuguese female to compete in WWE ring. WWE UK brand Superstar and someone who 'kills' between the ropes.

NICOLE MATTHEWS
(CANADA)

With her over 13 years of indie wrestling scene's experience and after being an alternate for MYC 2017 and facing Asuka in the NXT ring, Nicole Matthews is finally, officially here to make a statement in this year's tournament!

PRISCILLA KELLY
(USA)

The Gypsy Queen! The Master of Mind Games! Licking and biting her way to the win and not only... Priscilla Kelly is more than a colorful entertainer, she know the ropes as well. We are glad to see the inaugural SHINE Nova Champion in MYC 2018!

XIA BROOKSIDE
(ENGLAND)

The youngest competitor! Daughter of the English legend and current NXT/WWE PC trainer Robbie Brookside, Xia is here to make a name for herself and we are looking forward to see where the future will bring her.

ZATARA
(CHILE)

Zatara=Danger! This year we have two, not one, luchadoras. Chilean Zatara is preceded by her reputation as well and we expect to see some really cruel and nasty fight from her, against one of the favorites in this years tournament - Tegan Nox!
