Yes, before we can present to you our Overviews about SummerSlam, I want to go back to the topic that we are stuck since the Draft. The topic that we hate to discuss, because it enrage us. Especially me!
SummerSlam ended with five new champions (no, Shinsuke Nakamura, is not one of them). And when I opened the Facebook today I wasn't that shocked and surprised from some people's reaction over one pink- haired Superstar 4-time Raw Women's Championship win. I know that Nia Jax is sharpening her claws, for the belt, with several others. The Goddess Alexa Bliss is having her rematch clause, too. But the Boss victory is actually the most controversial and dividing win that night, from all of the three women's titles matches, this weekend.
I don't know which is more depressive for me the death (and resurrection as a White Walker) of the Daenerys Targaryen's dragon or the bitter-sweet taste that this closed circle in the RAW women's division, brings in my mouth!
One part of me is happy for Sasha. Actually she was our pick, for 'Who we want to win' and she won. But we expected Bliss to retain her belt and to drop it to the most needed to have that title - Paige. I know that for some people, this sounds illogical, but it's not. This is the bonus that WWE and Paige need to add to the whole biographical movie thing, to secure the restoration of their good terms! One-two title reigns!
But no! They decided to give the belt to Banks, to elevate her again for a week or two, or four - who knows? Now we will have painful and brutal defenses against Nia Jax, fierce attacks by Emma, that will end with the Aussie's loss, as ever, painful rematch against Alexa Bliss. Maybe more 'BFF's drama between The Boss and Bayley. The list is almost endless.
But what I and I guess many of you, want to see is: TONIGHT. ON RAW. CELEBRATION. AND PAIGE RETURN TO CONGRATULATE THE BOSS... like she did with AJ Lee. Even if Paige just entered the ramp to make a statement will be enough to shake up the building and the whole women's division. And we desperately need this! Not another Bayley vs. Sasha Banks! It was instant classic but we don't need to watch a remake, right now!
We want to see Paige!
On the other hand we know that the Superstar of Tomorrow, who is more like the Superstar of Yesterday, is having a lot of issues. In this situation, both WWE and the Norwich native are sharing the fault. Their cat and mouse game is starting to become really annoying for everyone. Her 'big love' with Alberto El Patron or Del Rio (who was suspended in GFW, too) , is coming to cost us our patience and emotions too, because some of us are concentrated on the career of our favorite Superstar and the only thing that I care from her private life is that if she is healthy and sort of happy! Hanging out with someone who is a walking trouble is helping her tabloid career, more than her wrestling career. If that makes her happy OK! We wish her luck with that! But please Paige, just don't forget your fans in WWE and gave us one great run, like in the good old times and if you want, after that, go and kill your career! Because this is where the things are going, at this point!
WWE, just give her that belt! Book her well until 2019(that will not hurt that much) and then we'll see what the future holds!
