POST-WRESTLEMANIA 34 RETURNING ANALYSES PT. 4: RONDA ROUSEY'S DEBUT

I think that many of the AWOW's followers know that I am having some 'hold backs' about 'Rowdy' Ronda Rousey.

The woman is over-pushed!

I have a lot of respect for her and her accomplishments before WWE, but she was over-pushed in the weeks prior WM 34, she was everywhere and the only thing that saved her from turning into irritant for the fans, was that they love her!

WWE Universe loves Rousey! They love her enough to forgive her things, they didn't forgive other Superstars. But is obvious why! Rousey is extremely  charismatic and so down-to-Earth looking woman, who knows how to throw and hit people. So, we can forgive her lack of mic skills. And WWE creatives found a great way to deal with that problem. They just interrupt her and not allow her to speak. They bet on what she does best! Fighting!

I watched closely this match. For me it was really important for Rousey. Only for her. Because Stephanie, Triple H and Kurt Angle, don't have anything to prove in the wrestling ring, while Ronda had to satisfy the fans expectations and to show us that she made the transition from MMA to professional wrestling.

I am not sorry that Stephanie McMahon was selected as the first in-match opponent for Rousey. It was really big deal, because McMahon is wrestling on relay rare occasions and I personally was curious to see if she still knows her craft.

OVERALL:

The match was really dynamic and I love the intergender element in it. WOW! The moment Rousey pick up Triple H was one in a million! I really think that this flashback moments to Attitude Era, were nice.

That was a match that really deserved it's positive reception and critical acclaims. But the hard part is coming post-WM 34 -  How Ronda Rousey will be integrated in WWE women's divisions? Is she able to fit in like her fellow MMA friend Shayna Baszler did? Baszler had several years experience in the wrestling ring, while Rousey is fresh. Who would be her next opponent? And most importantly: Is it over? The rivalry with the Authority, I mean. There is still some fuel in that storyline.

The future will give us the answers.
