What was more shocking about Mickie James - her return to WWE as constant part of SmackDown Live's women's division or her role of the La Luchadora and support for the reigning champion Alexa Bliss!
All of it!
Months after the Draft, many rumors circulated in the pro-wrestling medias pointing eventual signing of women of the Golden Era like Victoria, Melina, even Trish was pointed as eventual Asuka's opponent. When Mickie James resurface in a video promo at NXT, as a #1 contender for the NXT Women's gold the rumors went stronger than ever, that one of the All-time greatest former-Divas is making her way back to WWE! This time the rumors that she was behind the La Luchadora character became reality!
Mickie shocked the WWE Universe not only with her return, but with her alliance with Alexa Bliss. Last night James revealed her motives to chose Bliss' side. Of course there was nothing real in her statement, because there is no woman in WWE, no fan of WWE, who didn't remember her match at WrestleMania 22 , her figts with The Glamazon Beth Phoenix, Victoria and Melina, her rivalry with Lay-Cool and etc. ... Mickie's Legacy is well documented and remembered!
But what is the real impact of her return?
I am totally agree with article that I have read these days. One of the impacts is that WWE is starting to signed mature women, even women who are mothers, instead of young and inexperienced girls, former models, actresses and singers. This is another huge step in their female talents policies evolution. It begins with the signing of well established indies workers and now continues with honoring and signing former female-legends back!
Mickie's return made a strong impact on the young ladies in WWE! Alexa Bliss and others in the future will have an amazing opportunity to work and learn from this amazing veteran, a wrestler who didn't stop competing when she was released by WWE. Mickie's love over the wrestling business is doubtful and no matter what attitude she has according to rumors, she is a BIG, HUGE, LEGENDARY name, not only in USA, but worldwide!
