After months of prays and hopes from her fans (including us), Ember Moon was able to capture the long-dreamed title!
What a match!
First I want to say that the whole TakeOver, was 'WOW' and OMG!
We are concentrating on women's wrestling. And the match last night was something that was really amazing and all of the women gave 101% of themselves in that ring.
Every women were where she was needed to be. Every women had her spot, performed perfectly and her momentum! From Nikki's swinging necbreaker on Moon, Peyton's rope hang submission on Kairi Sane...to that devastating Tower of Doom variation performed by the iconic Aussie!
I enjoyed the moment when Billie Kay send her fellow in the match, by herself, too. For me there was something symbolic in this move. Peyton grown up on her own very much, the past months!
For me Kairi Sane and Nikki Cross professionalism was on higher level. Their skills and athleticism were stunning! Kairi's Elbow on Cross and Royce was stunning...
But not that stunning as Ember's Double Eclipse stunner on Nikki and Peyton, that earned her the win and the long awaited and deserved title belt! This is new era! More competitive, even far more athletic, because we know one thing about the new Champ - that she can bring the best from her opponents, by pushing them to their limits. Ask Asuka, about that!
Overall, we had four amazing former independent circuit women, who not only raised the bars, but inspired whole generations of indie women, to follow their dreams and to don't stop believing that one day they will be in WWE, if they can devote themselves on 101%. We had four women who deserve to win this match and as I love to say - there is no loser in this match!
The major consequence is that we have new champion who is not a less challenge then the previous one, we had a division hungry for the gold, with some new official names added to the TV roster like Bianca Belair and Lacey Evans (we hope to see Vanessa Borne joining them soon) and many talents desperately hoping for opportunity, there n the Performance Center.
New Era! New Moon!
ZELINA VEGA RULES!
I am so sad that I missed Zelina Vega's ring post hurricanrana on Roderick Strong!!!
Finally, she got physical, on one interesting way! Her attacks on Drew McIntyre last night, especially the Hurricanrana driver behind the ref's back, were really good sign, that WWE/NXT creatives are looking forward for her career as a competitor!
I hope to see her in a Mixed Tag Team match soon, next to her protegee and WWE NXT Champion Andrade 'Cien' Almas!
For now she is the only really impressive valet in WWE, as majority is in maternity leave, and Lana is managing Tamina. But we are sure that she will make waves in the NXT women's division very soon! She even deserves a reign as a Champion!
