Aliyah just ended her WWE SmackDown singles debut against Natalya with a bang, last night!
The former NXT veteran, who was robbed of the opportunity to participate in Survivor Series 2021 as part of the Blue brand team by Sonya Deville, after earning a controversial win in a tag team match that involved her, Naomi and Sasha Banks versus Natalya, Shayna Baszler and Shotzi.
The Queen of Harts viciously attacked her opponent with the goal to break Trish Stratus record of 8.0 seconds, before the match had even started. After a check-up by the referee on Aliyah, it was insisted by her to continue the match. And then comes the funniest part! When the bell rang, Aliyah rolled up Natalya for the three counts and won the match!
The most shocking part was that she actually broke Stratus' record with her 3.17 seconds win!!!
Guys, I am so happy for Aliyah, knowing her long path to this moment since 2015 when she started in WWE NXT to this exact spot.
It might look like something not that big, but we have someone who hasn't had more than one main roster match and scored a record-breaking win in her second, singles debut - breaking one of the most decorated and legendary women's records if want to be more accurate. I am really happy for Aliyah and I am not disappointed by the way it was done. For me, it was a pleasant, fresh needed surprise that is opening the door for her and I hope that after this accomplishment we will see more.
