Let's start with this that the Women's Royal Rumble was great as usual, even with some disappointing moments that were like signs of what will happen in the end. The first was Sasha Banks entering 1st and eliminating the legendary Melina (#2) quickly. A really terrible real waste of Melina's talent. And everything started so promisingly with these two.
Well, my desire to see The Boss at least as a finalist was "cold-showered" by Queen Zelina (#7), which comes to remind us that since her surprising re-signing with WWE, she is on a bit of a roll and that elimination was huge evidence for the Queen Z's push. My facial expression was the same as the one sitting on the floor Sasha - disbelieve and shock!
The match stabilized and went into its usual and entertaining dynamics soon, as many more promising talents arrive.
We got the answer to the question "Will Mickie James (#20) be allowed to enter the ring with her KOs title?". YASSS! She entered the damn thing of a match with her title belt and her favorite Impact Gimmick - as a "Hardcore Country" Mickie and eliminated one of the biggest rivals in her WWE history, Michelle McCool (#10), just to end thrown out of the ring by another nemesis of hers. LITA(#26)!
Aliyah (#5) was one of the young names who were interesting to follow, after her latest victories and records breaking matches. She lasted 22 minutes in the Rumble, while Liv Morgan (#6) is the second long-lasted Superstar in this year's Rumble (00:37).
Naomi (#14) and Sonya Deville(#11) transferred their SmackDown rivalry on the Royal Rumble's ring as Deville had the last laugh, helping Charlotte Flair (#17) to eliminate The Glow, by literally dragging her enemy out of the ring. Of course, Naomi was able to eliminate Deville first and officially, after the evil authority of the Blue Brand was eliminated after a beatdown, Naomi's former tag team partner Cameron (#13), who was one of the surprising entrants!
We had Ivory (#18) entering the Rumble in her old gimmick from Right to Censor and after verbal abuse of Rhea Ripley (#16), she was eliminated by the Nightmare herself!
Mighty Molly(#27) entered the fray but was viciously attacked by Nikki A.S.H.(#22) and eliminated by her.
Summer Rae (#23) collided with Natalya (#12) as expected and waited to happen until Nattie eliminated her with a lot of help from Charlotte Flair.
The Bella Twins (Brie as #19 and Nikki as #24) arrived, Alicia Fox (#21) arrived, and the lastest surprise return was by Sarah Logan (#25) who was all in her feral and all-Viking look!
Then the #28's time to enter come and the hell broke loose! Ronda F**king Rousey! The only memorable line I remember from her is "The only door you have broken is to the John Cena's bedroom" addressed at Nikki Bella! I remember her having a really not-good match against Alexa Bliss for the WWE Raw Women's title at the time and they needed, despite the rumors that Bliss is harassed in their matches, to have a rematch, which was an idea better. I remember her breaking gimmick on TV! I remember her brutalizing everyone. I remember her name and fame from outside WWE being used to push the women's division to have the first WrestleMania Main Event ever! There Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch established themselves as top of the top and Rousey ended it with a broken hand. But her fame helped her.
She is not that charismatic! She is a heavy hitter, with her mixed martial arts background (as well as Shayna Baszler), who has her own five moves of doom, and overall she is best when she sells bumps to other wrestlers' attacks because when she dominates it's really boring to watch. See her against Alexaq when they met for the first time. She's a bully in so many ways in and out of WWE!
Ronda entered the ring as #28, later she was joined by Shayna Baszler(#30) and after several backstabbing between the Bella Tweens - Brie eliminated Nikki as payback for the inaugural Women's Royal Rumble 2018. Then Charlotte Flair egoistically eliminated her two natural allies against Rousey - Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair (#8, who is the longest-lasting woman in the match with 00:47:37), which was the dumbest move...
And at the end of the fairy-tale called Women's Royal Rumble 2022, my dear children, The Queen was left alone to face The Baddest Woman on the Planet (The Biggest Bully in The Sports Entertainment, sorry, it's not you, Shayna!), and as a "total moron", Flair just set herself foot-first for the honorable place of the loser, the last eliminated by Rousey...
CONSEQUENCES:
"Rowdy" Ronda Rousey is going to WrestleMania! This time punching her Royal Rumble Ticket, which was granted to her in almost the similar way Becky Lynch was granted a SummerSlam title win last year - the only difference - there is no title on the line...yet!
Having both Charlotte and Becky are reigning champions respectfully on SmackDown and Raw, we might have to RE-LIVE that old Main Event Triple Match. Yeah, at this point it stinks like that if they don't decide to do something crazy and involve NXT's Women's Champion Mandy Rose (which will be really extreme and crazy) - I prefer not! Maybe, this time Rousey will take all and will be two belts, indestructible on her position, blocking the careers of many talented young and new women on both rosters for months.
That's the HELL! Also, it teases me if it will happen... We will have a month filled with anticipation and dark precognitions. Thanks to Rousey! But we also will be watching WWE more closely than ever.
In the end, the Women's Royal Rumble was beyond great - it was amazing, stunning, dramatic, OMG!, WOW, everything that can't be described with words!!! It's worth it, even with the several disappointing facts...
