The dark times are coming!
Witches are taking over NXT/WWE and IMPACT Wrestling, changing the landscape.
Well, actually Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn weren't named "The Coven" and don't have that many witchcraft segments like Taylor Wilde and KiLynn King, with tarot cards, etc., but the NXT Women's Tag team Champions who were drafted to SmackDown!, obviously have that vibe... and Dawn is famous for her witchy gimmick (and for defeating Ivelise Velez, in the indies. What? That is a huge accomplishment in my notebook LOL!).
So, this witchcraft stuff is really going on and I was thinking about which coven has the better witches and decided that it's a tie, with the scales weighing in IMPACT's favor because they have the desire and the experience to "mess" with supernatural storylines and characters (like Rosemary), long before WWE had decided to make Alexa Bliss one, of these. Yeah, there was a time in ECW when they tried to sell a vampire story to the fans, dressing Shelly Martinez as a seductive fanger named Ariel who accompanied Kevin Thorn and fought Kelly Kelly, back there, but the women's division has always been forced to do more regular gimmicks and Ariel was transformed into Salinas, for a while. Those gimmicks didn't work well at the time in WWE like they work in IMPACT.
So, I am enjoying following these two approaches at the covens stuff, and for now, I feel like both are doing really well. I hope to see more drama like Alba Fyre realizing that she is under a spell, cursed by Isla Dawn, to be her partner...Overall, I love that bravery for exploring the supernatural and withes in the wrestling business. At the end of the day, it's more of a gimmick for entertainment than serious black magic stuff.
