As much as we admire Deonna Purrazzo, we think that her short match against Priscilla Kelly, took away the opportunity to both of them to shine in their own way.
We are still looking to see more from her in the future round, as well as in NXT, where we hope to see her added to the TV roster, soon. Overall her appearance in the Episode 02 was glimpse of what she can do for real.

This Mexican veteran prove, like the last years Princesa Sugehit, that old Mexican Lucha Libre, could bring a lot of hard hitting fight to USA!
The respect that WWE has paid to this iconic, multi-Champion and walking Mexican Legend is well deserved and we are looking forward to see what this one can do.

Strongly hyped as the only woman to reach 'American Ninja Warrior' finale, Catanzaro surprised us all with her high-flying and really athletic style. For me she was one of the best in the episode, despite the time limit harmed her match as well.
Catanzaro definitely is dedicated to make a name for herself and as long as we can see, she is improved and ready for action in NXT!

MERCEDES MARTINEZ

Yes! At this point the Main Eventers from every episode are sharing the #1 spot in the Walk and the Ladder!
What new can be said about Martinez! She is still great and hungry for success as always. Her win wasn't easier like the last year in the same round, where she faced the inexperienced Xia Li from China. This year Mercedes worked hard for her victory and it was epic.
I am not disappointed from this one, as well!
I was so excited when I learned that she is included in the 32's roster, that this excitement didn't left me after the match. Kelly gave her best! I think that the time limit affected the booking, it rushed her and she wasn't able to show her full arsenal of moves.
Overall, I think that the brackets might be ordered in a differen manner and to allow Priscilla and several other Iconic Indies to stay for Round 2.

REINA GONZALEZ

Another lady with wrestling in her blood, who attempted to grab her second chance in MYC, after losing last year to Nicole Savoy in Round 1!
This year we can see that Gonzalez smashing ability and look have improved. Her match with Kacy Catanzaro was a real pre-Main Event package and another David vs. Goliath battle, with the victory for the tiniest competitor.
I really hope to see Reina involved in NXT, eventually as a bodyguard and ally to someone like Aliyah, for example helping her winning matches. Until then we can say that her appearance in MYC was satisfying and even better than the last year, when she was total rookie for WWE Network event.

Another well know future legend from the independent circuit.
Aerial Monroe has nothing to be ashamed of her appearance in MYC. It was great chance for her and she use it on maximum. Her match against Zeuxis was really intensive and kind of better of the other two indies' match before them. She was really good in every move she sell and we hope that we weren't see the last of her in WWE!

ASHLEY RAYNE

Ashley Rayne showed us what a real legend is capable off!
My hair bristling in fear when Rayne was landed on her neck, during the match! Everyone saw it! It was bad landing and she was able to go on. What a spirit, what an athleticism. Respect for her! Respect for WWE to dare to invite her, which is great! I think everyone was a winner in that Main Event. I am so happy that Ashley/Madison Rayne finally get into WWE ring, because she deserves it, as much as her opponent, Deonna Purrazzo and many other iconic or new talents involved!
As I mentioned in the part about Priscilla Kelly, for me there was an opportunity for several talents (Killer Kelly, Priscilla Kelly, Allysin Kay and Ashley Rayne) to continue to the Round 2, if the bracket was made kind of differently.
But c'est la vie! Rayne vs. Martinez worth it at 101%!
