Long live the pre-tape!!!
Kidding, but it's okay, I prefer pre-tape than women's non-action at all, especially when it comes to both NXTs. As long as you know, we love that small but priceless UK division that is developing and growing in front of our eyes.
This week we had another masterpiece of a UK women's wrestling match and some serious statements for the next week that involve our favorite Piper Niven.
AOIFE VALKYRIE defeated NINA SAMUELS
We had some pre-history of the match here. It was a small but interesting package. Nina Samuels interrupted Aoife Valkyrie's video segment to challenge the undefeated Superstar, The Irish Battle Cry has come to take some redemption.
Really athletic and dynamic battle. It was another great performance and perfect work from Valkyrie and another stunning NXT UK star in the face of Samuels. Maybe it was even better than Aoife's match against Isla Dawn. Great match from the beginning to the end, with that stunning diving Axe Kick.
Overall:
Nina Samuels was the first woman taped and presented in a women's match against Toni Storm when NXT UK 'opened up for business'. She is always here to challenge every 'newbie' who wants to steal her spotlight. A great worker who we really expect to see more often in action. She is powerful and so sassy. Amazing heel.
Aoife Valkyrie, on the other hand, is a sensation. Her signing was one of the most commented. She is quickly rising up to the heights where she could challenge for the NXT UK Women's belt. Believe me, she is a serious threat to Kay Lee Ray's reign and if they collide, I won't be surprised if Aoife leaves with the gold. And this is the direction where things are going. Can't wait for that battle.
JINNY AND NXT UK WOMEN'S CHAMPION KAY LEE RAY TO BATTLE PIPER NIVEN AND DANI LUNA NEXT WEEK!!!
The intriguing, ready to do whatever it takes to win, The NXT UK Fashionista Jinny is back in action teaming with NXT UK Women's Champion Kay Lee Ray, as she put it to teach Dani Luna and the heroic Piper Niven a lesson.
That sounds really interesting as women's tag team matches are rare in NXT UK and if Luna and Niven take the win that will bring a serious shift in the Women's title picture. Meanwhile, if that happens we might see a match between Kay Lee Ray and Jinny on the way, which will be great in "You lost the match so I'll beat you" style!
It's exciting!
