BETTER LATER THAN NEVER: POST-WRESTLEMANIA 33 OVERVIEW

WrestleMania 33 is one night far away in the history. We already have our RAW emotions with Emma's return,Fin Balor's return, The Revival's debut, Kurt Angle as GM, etc.

We watched the women's matches! Plus the matches involving women! Here is our late overview, that will be sort of a bitter-sweet. Starting from the worst and ending with one of the best!

LONG AWAITED MARRIAGE PROPOSAL

Actually this was the only good part in the whole Nikki Bella and John Cena vs. The Miz and Maryse at WM 33! And that the match ended almost quick...

This "epic battle" will have only sentimental value for Nikki and John. It was the worst match in their collective career at WM. But at the end Nikki really got her WrestleMania Moment and the engagement was the best part. And all of us have this feeling that all of these barging on SDL, was just for that moment.

As some of the fans noticed Maryse didn't do even one simple move. At the end she just received Rack Attack #2! This was her role and the confirmation of our doubts, that she is not medically cleared.

All we can say is: Congratulations for Nikki Bella and John Cena!

FATAL-4-WAY CLASH WITH A POOR ENDING

Four truly talented Superstars, collided in a amazing battle at The Grandest Stage of them All. The match was really promising and started with great work from Nia Jax against the other three competitors. It was nice that WWE creatives decided, logically, to unite Charlotte, Sasha and Bayley against the biggest threat! That Triple Powerbomb was awesome!

But after Jax's elimination the match became sort of a rushed! We saw a beautiful Moonsaultf from Flair, several Bank Statements and The Boss was eliminated after absurd head-first into not well uncovered by Charlotte, ring post.

Later Bayley was able to escape the Figure 8. She and Charlotte made some battle stuck in the ring's post again and at the end The Hugger made a Diving Elbow finisher (as tribute to Randy Savage) and won the match.

My disappointment is related to Bayley's lack of innovations in this match. Of course I am happy that she won, but she might do it with a more spectacular move. Maybe there was some time-rush, I got this feeling. But the match could be far better. They needed to push Sasha at the end, to have more dynamic battle - even short, but dynamic. They decided to put Charlotte on the final stage on the match and there was a battle of rude power vs. standard move-set!

My admiration is for Nia Jax, who didn't allow the pressure to got her and she was perfect for me. Really good offensive and character display!  The other women were great in character and emotions display too, but they were sort of a rushed and were not able to do what they do the previous year!

We are happy with Bayley's title defense at the end - not how she defend it! The end was poor! We are happy with the fact, that she defend it and wasn't allowed to drop it to The Queen, again, which would be a disaster! Maybe the overcrowded card at the end changed everything, so many matches was cut-short and some moves were delayed. But we are happy to see The Hugger still on top, waiting for new challenge!

ALEXA BLISS FELT THE GLOW

WWE tried "to punish" WWE Universe putting the planed as Kickoff Match into the Main Super-Card! They not only include them, but they booked them up in the card. And it was more competitive than RAW's match!

My biggest disappontment with this match was that it was 6-Pack-Challenge again! The ring was crowded but everyone had hands full! Really great athleticism and sort of a tension was displayed in the match progress.

Admiration to Mickie James! As the other veteran in the match, with more experience in WWE than Natalya, she showed  great athleticism, skills and shape. She was so close to the title win. But it wasn't meant to be!

Natalya surprise us with her double Sharpshooter on Carmella and Naomi and this was one of the greatest moments in the match, aside from the fact that she almost failed to lock it. Nattie is really great competitor and sooner or later she might reach the top of the Blue brand's division.

Carmella made tribute to Trish Stratus, by performing a Frankensteiner/ Stratusphere on Becky Lynch, while the Irish Lass Kicker was situated on the top rope. You remember that the Princess of Staten Island  was using Mickie James' rope aided hurricanrana, but know as Jame is back, Carmella is forced to find new moves, for her arsenal.

One of my favorite moments was Becky Lynch's Bex-ploder suplex perfectly applied on James Ellsworth! That references to the Intergender wrestling, the past few weeks are really nice and to see the annoying Ellsworth getting what he deserved was priceless, too! That was Becky's top moment in the evening, after her great appearance last year at the Show of the Show...
At the end the only thing that mattered was the Glow! Naomi eliminated the whole bunch of competitors with a slingshot crossbody, outside the ring and in the spirit of "political correctness", she pushed the champ Bliss, back in the ring. Alexa nailed a beutiful punch, but it was not enough and Naomi's innovative submission was enough to got her title back! It was really nice ending, with a really nice choice for a new SD Women's Champion, in the Naomi's home town!

The match was great. Before I watch it I was able to put RAW Women's title match as the top women's match, the dessert! But after I watch the show, I think that SDL women's division nailed it, this time!

Congratulations, Naomi! Congratulations SDL female-Superstars! Really well done!
