With WrestleMania 33 on the horizon, some indie promotions and networks still didn't quit the rating fight and they do this not only fo money and fame, but for their fans...
I have a lot of respect for SHINE Wrestling, and this new storyline looks nice as new perspective... After Ivelisse was striped from her title, via the not-clear-for-competing rule and she lost a rematch, no is time for another contender... and who is better than the freaky Su Yung.
LuFisto is a powerhouse, with a lot of experience. She is a well respected and established name in the women's wrestling indie scene. Her surprising push to the belt of SHINE, was surprising, but deserved. Actually, LuFisto is working with Amber O'Neil (the wife of Luke Gallows from WWE) and the talented Kennadi Brink, in a stable called C-4. Now C-3, eventually! The stable is really well established as a heel dominant group of amazing female wrestlers and maybe it's a matter of time before Amber and Kennadi, join LuFisto as champion, with the SHINE Tag Team belts on their waists!
But LuFisto reached the top, mostly by herself... She defeated Allysin Kay /Sienna in TNA and Mercedes Martinez - two well known, legendary indies names, to won the prize. LuFisto is a hard working wrestler and spend her time between many major women's promotions like SHIMMER and WSU, so it's logical her experience and talent to be rewarded.
But, what about this Red Wedding match against Su Yung?
First if you watched the video up there you will know that the fans loves Su Yung. Several months ago she was WSU Spirit Champion, she had an epic rivalry with Allie from TNA... Actually this young lady is sort of Rosemary of the Indie Scene - with her eccentric look, of a creature from the Hell or from horror movie! She is also a FCW (former WWE developmental) alumna (known as Sonia), too - fact that can't be ignored! In the last several SHINE's editions she won a matches against Saraya Knight (WWE Paige's mother), Vanessa Kraven and many other talents, so this solidify her #1 Contender's spot!
We, in AWOW, really want to see Su Yung as a SHINE Champion, but at the same time we want to see more from LuFisto... it's a hard choice! Yung is trageting this title for so long and she was always closer to it. Maybe it's time to win it at WWN Supershow: Mercury Rising 2017, Saturday, April 1st, 2017.
It's going to be nice! Even if she doesn't, the match will be great! So we'll wait and we'll see if LuFisto retain her title or we'll have a new SHINE Champion!
