WrestleMania is almost here, so we have to get more heat on the rivalries that are included in the card!
As Nia Jax said it RAW women's division gravitates around three names - Charlotte, Bayley and Sasha. Sasha, Bayley and Charlotte. Of course since her RAW debut last year, Jax can't say that she was left behind, sitting without work. She fought jobbers, she fought Alicia Fox, until entering the picture.
Last night's tag team match and the angle before it, were a good warm up for Sunday. A nice taste of what we will get at WrestleMania 33.
But let's analyze the match, competitor by competitor!
CHARLOTTE FLAIR
Great athlete. Hard worker. Amazing heel. Four-time RAW Women's Champion!
She prove that she can do it almost on her own. Because Dana Brooke and Ric Flair, weren't enough at ringside. If you can't capitalize over a distraction caused by your allies, you don't have any instincts of a heel and champion. Charlotte capitalize over every mistake of her opponents, over every interference and distraction. She grabbed every chance... Sweating and bleeding she was fighting to the end.
I know that many people hates her. That's because she plays her role as a top villain more than well. She is a natural entertainer, with great skills, who developed an unique heel persona - better then Lay-Cool, Ivory and others women heels, prior her. People forget that this is a scripted behavior and forget to enjoy her abilities as wrestler. Sometimes even for me and my colleagues it's hard to remind us that she just plays a role. She is so convincing!
Majorly, aside from her Oscar winning heel character, she is amazing athlete, who survived without injury over a year, since her WWE main roster debut. She didn't take a day out. She has a real momentum in there, no matter of which end of the match she will finish.
Her chances this Sunday, are not to be underestimated. She had her amazing 1/4 equal chance to leave The Show of The Shows as a 5-time RAW Women's Champion.
SASHA BANKS
The Boss said, at this Monday's RAW, that for her WrestleMania is all about business, and her friendship with Bayley is something that is not involved in the match.
Sasha Banks was involved in a several of the historical WWE and NXT's women's matches with both Bayley and Charlotte. So we can be sure that at WrestleMania it's going to be another great showdown. We had the perfect formula.
As a 3-time Women's Champion of the Red brand, she has her own 1/4 part chance to win the belt again. She is technical, fast and really innovative. She's a fearless high-flyer! The fans adore her. She is all flash and cash.
The problem with Banks is her lack of luck and her controversial health status. I don't like it, but I have to agree with Charlotte, when she pointed Banks' injuries file. Kayfabe or not, Banks earned a lot of red points for missing from RAW, and leaving every match, one step away closer to the stretcher. That doesn't speak well. Maybe the idea is to show how some people are ready to leave the hospital bed to win the gold, by throwing their health in the trash. But it's getting a little bit old.
At WM it's going to be a hell of a fight and a lot of risky moves. Banks will be at the epicenter of the events, and she will use her speed, knees and headscissors for advantage, and as always she will play the one who is almost broken in half. But, as I said, her winning chances are equal to those of Charlotte and Bayley, even to Nia Jax's.
NIA JAX
Nia is force of destruction. She is a juggernaut. She is a really hard worker, who enjoys her involvement in the wrestling, since day one. She makes a statement and her time is coming...
But is she able to win WrestleMania 33's clash?
I think that the problem with Nia is that she's sort of green, aside from her battles with Asuka, Sasha Banks and Bayley. If we want to be logical, Nia has every chance to win. If we must be a realistic, the only woman who physically can put any stand against Jax is Charlotte. But since the wrestling is a form of entertainment, and the creatives can fabricate any kind of end for everyone, and the logic is not always as obvious as we think.
Nia Jax is a wild card in this match. She is there to make it a little bit more spicy and more raw. To add more pure physical power. To dominate and eventually to fall, with greatness. At this point the important thing for Nia is that she reached this far, she is at WrestleMania in a title match. And I, personally, I am happy for her!
Of course I want to see her as a champion. Of course I an not underestimate her skills and talents. But I have this feeling, that she is not a good choice for WrestleMania winner! She is great choice for a difference making, but I don't think that she is ready for a title reign.
BAYLEY
Bayley is everybody's favorite! She is the embodiment of everything good and nice. She's a real role model. She's the embodiment of the dreams that came true!
She's a female wersion of knighthood! Shiny and brave...
If someone has really worked hard and walk a long and full of obstacles road from NXT to RAW, this one is Bayley. She debuted last from the Four Horsewomen, but she had that opportunity to sit and watch them go, to watch their rivalries evolving. Most importantly for me is that she had the chance to fight against Asuka, which help her to step on the next level.
Bayley deserves to be on RAW's top. She is the woman, the character that can elevate her and her opponents careers at the same time. She is more than a stepping stone. She's a elevator, who never went down. With champion like her you can push the other women, who stayed neglected during the The Boss vs. The Queen's matches, like Emma, Dana Brooke, Nia, Summer Rae and even Paige! Bayley is one of the most helpful employee in WWE, who loves to help her fellow women Superstars to shine, without her losing her own glow.
If she lose at WM 33, that will be sad, but not the end. Bayley's evolution will continue.
If she win at WM 33 - that will mean that the door is still open for more opportunities and opponents.
Can't wait to see this match at Sunday! I think that there will be no losers in it!
