The night after a PPV is always full of expectations: Is that old rivalry finally over or it would take a new turn? What about that storyline? ETC...
This week's post-Rebelium Impact showed us some development in two KO's stories starting with the most Darker one.
ROSEMARY /w. Undead Maid of Honor/ defeated KIERA HOGAN,
after Disqualification
With a hostage tied up in her corner (the undead Maid of Honor), Rosemary met Kiera Hogan in a match that was destined to happen after two weeks ago the Demon Assasin attacked the Firefly!
The dynamic of the match was intensive. Hogan dominated with several splashes in the corner, reversed sidewalk slam into a headscissors takedown. Then Rosemary succeeded in the second slam attempt and applied her Upside-Down figure-4-rope hanging maneuver for 4 counts.
The match went into the outside the ring area and Rosemary attempted another move at Hogan, when the army of Undead Maids of Honor came and attacked her, under the gaze of their leader - Su Yung.
Of course, that planned attack was actually a rescue mission. While the Bride's maids beat down Rosemary, The Undead Bride released the hostage, who went in the ring to get some revenge. Kiera Hogan stepped with one leg in the ring and decided not to get involved, slowly leaving while the Demon Assassin received Panic Swiths from Su Yung.
Recap:
I love the build up in the rivalry between Hogan and Rosemary. Kiera kind of added a new shade of darkness to her fiery character which is a nice touch.
The match was good. Great quality. The end was interesting and I am curious where this will lead us - eventually to a match between Rosemary and Su Yung. Or another between Kiera and the Demon Assasin?!
KOs CHAMPION TAYA VALKYRIE SETS HE OWN TERMS
After telling that she has defeated every KO on her way, the reigning champion was confronted by Madison Rayne! The legendary Knockout stated that she is next in line and challenge for the belt tonight.
Well, Valkyrie had something else in mind. She took the interviewer - Melissa Santos to the management's office where after a short scandal, she left and told Santos, that she contractually can't be obligated to defend her title in the next 30 days. She will face Rayne, but that would be a non-title match.
Recap:
30 days build up for another title match - that opens a field of possibilities to develop the story before Taya and Madison face each other. Another storyline in an interesting twist of events.
Overall:
Impact Wrestling really grabbed my attention this week and I am curious what's in store for the next.
