Our favorite new addition to NXT UK Piper Niven had a serious mountain to climb this week when she faced one of the strongest and fearsome WWE NXT prospects.
PIPER NIVEN defeated REINA GONZALEZ
Reina Gonzalez is a Mae Young Classic 2017 and 2018 Alumna who impresses with her strength and vicious attitude. She quickly worked in the obvious direction for people of her type - to injured her opponent, so the positive and highly professional Piper found herself with damaged back.
But Niven is known for her resilience so she quickly returned back in the game. We saw our favorite cross body block followed by a seated senton... In the end, Piper used her Michinoku Driver to end the match in a graceful manner!

I won't hide that I have a soft spot for Piper and I love her character. She's a real role model who is a mix of charm, beauty, and strength. But it's not her appearance only that make her unique - it's her in-ring ability and quickness, that complete her package as a Mega Superstar.
This match was for her and she and Reina worked it really great. Now Piper is several steps close to the WWE NXT UK Women's Championship match. She has one (two) serious obstacle(s) on her way Rhea Ripley (and Kay Lee Ray).
I need to mention that there were several other women's promos as that of Nina Samuels was intriguing. I am not sure who will Samuels challenge, maybe directly Toni Storm or maybe she will face Kay Lee Ray first, but it's going to be good.
