George's Predictions: FastLane 2019

On the road to Wrestlemania, we have our last PPV before the ladies take to the grandest stage of them all, with three matches to get our teeth into. The main one, of course, will be Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair, but the rest of the card looks interesting too.

Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch

This is going to be the match everyone will be watching, but haven't we seen this already before? I can't count how many times we've seen Becky and Charlotte go at it, but I'm sure they will both bring something new to the match for the fans, and to tell the story.

I am disappointed that Charlotte is in the picture here unless Becky "injures" her, we are set for a Triple Threat match for the Raw Women's title at Wrestlemania. I'm sure that Ronda Rousey is going to be ringside or interfere somehow, so don't expect this to be a clean win on Becky's behalf. Of course, Becky is going to win this match, the company is obviously putting her through the paces here to tell a story of someone who battled the system but won.

This match will be interesting. Outside of the ring, we know they are friends and they are both determined to do the best they can, so I'm looking forward to what this one brings. My prediction goes to Becky Lynch winning the match.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Sasha Banks & Bayley vs. Nia Jax & Tamina

For their first title defense, The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection have a huge task ahead of them when they defend their titles against Nia and Tamina, who are both dominant women in the ring, but rarely get the gold.

Going into the match, both teams have single victories over the other, with Bayley pinning Nia and Tamina pinning Sasha, but what will that mean in the match itself? Nothing much; it's an even scorecard for both teams so we are starting from zero, but that can light a fire under the match too.

It's worth noting that Nia took herself out of the Elimination Chamber match, leaving the rest of the ladies to pick on Tamina and gain the pin on her. I'm hoping we don't see this again with Nia/Tamina and we get a clean victory. It's getting quite tiresome to see Nia put her self through the barrier, or into the ring post or some other way when really we know she's not that stupid.

My vote goes to Bayley and Sasha for the win in this match. Only because they've only just got the belts and to take them off them so soon is not going to be a wise move. I'd love to see more tag teams come in now and pose a threat to The Boss ‘N’ Hug Connection, and my ideal scenario does go back to The IIconics coming in and making a play for the titles.

SmackDown Women’s Champion Asuka vs. Mandy Rose

This match is going to go one of two ways. We're either going to see a quick, short match with Asuka getting the win over Mandy, or we're going to see an upset with Mandy gaining the win over Asuka after interference from Sonya Deville.

It's a shame that we don't have a build up for the SmackDown Women's Championship as we do for Raw. This match feels like it's just been added for the sake of it and there's no real story behind it. The only story we do have is Mandy and Naomi, but she's no-one to be seen in this match or anything to do with the Championship.

Unless ... she comes out and does something at the end of the match. It's going to be interesting to see where this match goes. My money is on Asuka winning the title, but I can't discount Sonya at ringside and doing something to help Mandy get the win.
