Xia Li finally made it to the NXT Official Roster, while other fellow WWE PC and Mae Young Classic fellows, still struggling to reach it.
Finally, the NXT Creatives decided to join two of the most underrated but promising female talents - Vanessa Borne and Aliyah. We are inspired by that surprisingly good booking of our favorite outsiders. It was time to remember that when you have two talents who are good at wrestling/jobbing but struggle with singles storylines you need to align them into a team for better perspectives.
At this point the talent pool in WWE is huge and many recruits might not make it to the spotlight. We remember Zeda, Abbey Laith and Sage Beckett who was recruited collectively and appeared on the inaugural Mae Young Classic with characters etc. but didn't make it to the NXT official TV roster. Cost-cuts!
Now we have more and more stunning talents who might not see the promotion. We, in AWOW, decided to use our booking ideas bag to suggest and advocate for several talents.
REINA GONZALEZ: MAKE HER THE VISION AND THE BATTLE ANGEL REINFORCER AGAINST THE OTHER TEAMS AND STARS
The powerful Texan had worked with Aliyah on Live events. Gonzalez main accomplishment is her two-time appearance at the iconic MYC Tournament and she was great. You can match her with another powerful girl, but at this point, she will be a great addition to the new and fresh team of Aliyah and Vanessa Borne.
She will add more heat to the team and even could bring them in a fight with the Baslzer's trio.
So don't scrap her character!
LACEY LANE: SIDING WITH YIM, FACING BASZLER
Another favorite MYC Alumna and recruit!
The high-flying Lane could be a good addition to the roster. She's ready for a war with Baszler and her Horsewomen, as we saw a week ago. Maybe teaming with Mia Yim and MJ Jenkins against the dominant trio would be a good start. From there, the Creatives may choose two paths for her - a tag team with Yim or singles battles with the roster, or joining the paths at one point.
We just want to see more from her.
KAVITA DEVI: INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS
Debuting Li on NXT TV episodes and adding her to the official roster is a nice step. Now when we have a Women's tag team gold fever, NXT could add more to the contenders' fry.
We have this creative vision for a long time. All of the international recruits in one evolutionary women's team. We have Brazilian Black Belt Taynara Conti, Chinese Martial Arts Expert Xia Li, and the exotic Indian Juggernaut Kavita Devi. That would be interesting and these three underdogs could work well together jobbing at the beginning and then starting to earn victories.
We could even have four corners NXT women's tag team match to determine the NXT's contenders for the WWE women's tag team gold: International Affairs (Devi, Conti, and Li) vs. The Visionaries (Borne, Aliyah and Reina Gonzalez) vs. The Baszler's Crew (Baszler, Shafir, and Duke) vs. Yim, Lane, and Jenkins.
Think about that and eventual Fatal-4-Way match between the Women's Tag Gold bearers, Team from Raw, Team from SmackDown and Team from NXT!
MJ JENKINS: AN ALLY AND SINGLES PLAYER
Jenkins was impressive at MYC!
She was part of the Yim's rescue team that was beaten down by Baszler and friends. She stands well in the ring and in front of the camera and it would be nice to see her getting more opportunities.
She can join Yim in her war with Baszler and other teams. I want to see her battling Bianca Belair for sure and eventually teaming with her later.
Jenkins is a wild card, that could be used in many variations of booking strategies and we will be glad to see what happens.
CHELSEA GREEN: SOMEONE TO ADMIRE
If you are not familiar with this young lady work at the indie scene, in Impact and short but explosive appearance at Lucha Underground you've missed a lot and you might not understand why we are happy that WWE finally signed her.
Her memorable character Laurel Van Ness who evolved from barbie like villainess to crazy bride was one of Impact's greatest inventions and led her to a title reign.
Her match against Pentagon Dark in LU was a masterpiece of the intergender wrestling.
We are just stunned by her professionalism and talent and we recommend a singles booking, as a heel and eventually a short turn for a tag team battle (suggesting Deonna Purrazzo for her partner). We also imagine Green in a rivalry with former fellow KO, Mia Yim. That would be great too.
