The newly created (resurrected) Women's Tag Team gold is definitely a hot topic. Since the inaugural champs declared its availability to all three brands (what about NXT UK?) and started touring around them, the heat surrounding the title belts became bigger and hotter.
This week (a stolen) victory by the IIconics changed the picture...somehow!
Is it possible to see the two Aussies involved in a WrestleMania 35 moment?
Why not?
But before thinking about it, let's check what the situation really is.
Firstly, we don't have an official announcement for the WWE Women's Tag Team Title match at WM 35 (not today, 18 days before the PPV). Well, we know that there will be one. Because Beth Phoenix challenged the Boss 'N' Hugs Connection and Nia Jax closed off by saying 'See ya at WrestleMania!".
Anything can happen as they are in the build up for the Wrestlemania match. Maybe next week we might see Beth Phoenix and Natalya facing Tamina and Jax, for in Beth Phoenix's Raw returning match. These two teams are definitely in line for a title shot, despite Jax and Tamina's loss at Fastlane! These two forced their way into the title picture again, and with the rising aggression in the women's division of WWE (in the face of Ronda Rousey, Becky Lynch, Jax and Tamina...) this is kind of the usual way to get into a title match these days.

Here comes the IIconics, who literally sole this one from The Boss 'N' Hugs Connection this week. They outsmarted the champs, who kind of underestimated these two young Australian Superstars. Actually, The IIconics are ready to shine as wrestlers at WrestleMania in 18 days. They need a quick build up. But that's not the problem. Ruby Riott and Sasha Banks didn't have a good build up before facing Ronda Rousey for the Raw Women's belt. There was 'The Name Game' playing and somehow paying. Names and talent. The IIconics have talent. Peyton Royce is innovative, Billie Kay compensates with her gimmick during matches but still has a lot to show. We saw them at Elimination Chamber, where they were involved, just because SDL didn't have enough established women's tag teams, Actually, they are two tag teams, that we can call 'tag teams' - The IIconics and Fire and Desire, who might end their team work after the announcement regarding the Smackdown's Women's Championship for next week. So, the IIconics might be involved in a really competitive and important match for their careers.
And why not? (again)
At this point we have a potential Triple Threat match involving Bayley & Sasha Banks - as Champions, Nia Jax and Tamina, Beth Phoenix and Natalya (for sure). The possibility to turn it into a Fatal-4-Way Match is not to be excluded as a variant. The IIconics will add more suspense and balance, because at this point we have a team of 'featherweight' technicians against two teams of juggernauts! With Kay and Royce, the match will be more balanced! Fresh!

The biggest 'screw up' might be WWE to book the match for the Kick Off! Then it won't matter who will fight in it. Somehow the Kick Off titles matches lose heat, even if we have a title change. It's like putting the title on the line in a Live Event. Almost.
Now we can sit and wait with anticipation with what will come next and hoping to see the IIconics at WM 35!
