I have really expected a KOs title match. This Rebellion is not the same as the last year and even with two nights, even with the pandemic, I thought that there should be a title match for the Knockouts belt.
The idea of putting Havok and Rosemary in a Metal Mayhem is obvious - they are hardcore characters on their own and nothing can suits them better. But I really hoped this match to be followed by a title both. I am really into Taya Valkyrie and the champ Jordynne Grace's rivalry.
The match was a fill-up. Gret fill-up. Nice spots and brutal elements and weapons used as chains and staples. It was actually a really good hardcore event.
Of course, they gave us a tease. New KO I guess - famous indie worker Nevaeh, appeared in the 'audience' and Madison Rayne who was on commentary didn't miss to notice that. Actually, her appearance is a sign that Impact Wrestling has decide to strategically expand it's women's division which is an act of heroism. But the difference here, between WWE and Impact, is eye-poking: Impact didn't hire a ton of great women and kept them in the basement letting them out for a live event. NO! The impact has always had that unique ability to sigh someone experienced, most of the time, and integrate her right here, right now, so they don't need to crush young or legendary women's dreams during catastrophic events like COVID-19!
Rosemary win was a nice push since she needs to get back where she was and all that Undead Realm is swallowing her and other people's in-ring potential and despite being a really nice, fresh artistic creation sometimes they throw too much attention in it. And not only attention. But it's kind of fine.
I can't wait to see what will happen next and when we will see the title match that we expected.
