So, Penelope Ford surprisingly failed after all the pushing and competing these days. I expected her significant other - Kip Sabin, to help his beloved one, but AEW bet on talent and strengths (not talent and image) and Kris Statlander is all that! That is actually funny because now they have two faces who might meet each other in a title match - Shida and Statlander, but you know that these sportsmanship twists are the nice differences.
It happens from time to time and the energy is totally different than heel vs. heel. When you have face vs. face it's all about who is the best in being good and winning fairly - no dirty tricks, more pure competition. With heel against heel you have the dirtiest one eventually winning the contest 'who's the best villain'!
It would be nice and who knows - Shida might recall her heel-ish persona from the early days when she met Riho.
But why am I talking about Hikaru Shida? Yes, I predict it and here it is 😉😉😉!!! Hikaru Shida is the new AEW Women's World Champion (and the transphobes worldwide may sleep well, finally)... Out of the spite against haters and bullies, I really think that Hikaru Shida deserves that reign and I think that Nyla Rose should be happy for helping this Japanese star to raise upon the ranks straight into the top. I don't think that Nyla needs to feel ashamed about this. She took a really great stand and elevated her opponent in addition, further. Physically and logically Rose might win the belt again as long as she is in AEW.
Shida really needed it and it was the right time for her to get it! Congratulations!
