Tamina finally had another chance to shine in a singles title both. She earned it after defeated Sasha Banks on SmackDown as it was stipulated that this victory is granting her a title shot after her unsuccessful WrestleMania attempt. Of course, WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Bayley played a vital role in all of this, accidentally putting herself where she is as she put the stipulation!
What are we expecting?!
TAMINA: TWO DECADES OF CHASING OPPORTUNITIES
First, the whole Tamina WrestleMania involvement was controversial. You haven't been seen for months on TV, excuse me but it's almost like no one knows if you are dead or alive, and then you come back and being tossed in a match with four other competitors who have worked their arses every Friday. Yes, she is a second-third generation Superstar. Yes, she is a veteran. She is sort of a Locker Room leader and everyone, including us, respects her. But the WM's involvement was kind of ... flat!
Well, this time they did it right with some graduation of the story. With that challenge and the stipulation, the victory with some help by Lacey Evans. Everything is fine. I am kind of curious why they decided to bring Tamina up, but now it's getting clear and I think that they decided to bring some fresh, new contender, who hasn't a challenge for a singles belt for the year and so(?!). An interesting form of payment of respect.
Actually, she makes a face turn since 2012 which is another interesting fact, despite that her babyface persona doesn't differ from her heel character. Same facial expression. Same clothes. Same body movement. So, she can easily be everything - for me, she is sort of a tweener at the moment.
Her chances are not bad, knowing how powerful she is and how quick she can squash her opponents. The problem is her health. This woman has knee injuries and she is 42. Two facts that lower her chances of success, because you won't put the belt on someone in this condition eventually. Even now I think that we might see her last matches these days, because two decades in WWE, that is a huge accomplishment, but I don't see her as a Champion. I see her as a 'stepping stone' - someone to elevate the new generation up-up and away to stardom.
But who knows. After all her chances are not bad, at all!
BAYLEY: THE ROLE MODEL FOR ARROGANCE
I want... No, I and most of us need Bayley to lose the SmackDown belt to Sasha Banks and to go back to the state where she was before turning heel. I think that she will be lost without the belt for a long time and that's why she needs that old, classic war back in her career.
I think that Bayley will retain and her chances are serious. Maybe Banks will interfere as well. But if she lost to Tamina, that would be thanks to Sasha I guess. But I am not willing to believe that she will drop the title this Sunday. Sorry, but this would be a pure shame. If the idea is to show how the young generation needs to respect the elders and they punish her (us) with a title loss, well that won't work.
WE NEED BAYLE AS CHAMP VS. SASHA and we can feel it coming! If they don't do it, that will be a sign of fans' punishment for demanding quality.
Bayley's arrogance can be punished with a reality slap by the biggest arrogance of The Boss. That is a better scenario. Tamina defeating her is ... I don't know. Not good! If we are going to play k*yfabe and support the justice okay - Tamina is the Champion of Justice, but this is business and as I said to take the belt from young, healthy and rolling Champion on the step of a legendary rivalry revival and to put it on someone with broken knees - it's far away from good business except if you don't plan to b**k her to lose it soon.
Except for What If Tamina is a transitional Champion?
Remember that this is not all about how much deserves. It's about suitability and decisions for the future. When do you look at Bayley and Tamina - who is the future?
For now, I stick with Bayley. I am sticking with raw business and b**king logic.
We know that logic not always work in WWE!!! 🙃😉
Dare To Predict: BAYLEY retains
