With two matches on the card, last night's NXT episode was all about challenges. I.e. most of the matches were a prelude to something else, some story development.
First, we had a really good match between two former indie icons. Mia Yim takes on Santana Garrett - that is like a little treat made in heaven. It's really nice to watch these two women who spend most of their wrestling career in the independent circuit, fighting in their new home. Of course, Mia won just to be verbally and physically attacked by Johnny Gargano (who becomes more and more annoying with every following week) and the 'Poison Pixie' Candice LeRae, as we expected. The NXT North America Champion Keith Lee emerged and chased the attackers, which set the things for an eventual, mixed tag team match next week.
I am excited about this, despite I prefer to see LeRae vs Yim in a singles match, but you know - they build up a family drama. The Underrated Garganos who are mad at everyone in NXT! So, let's see what will happen next.
Io Shirai and Rhea Ripley tried to set the thing up in the ring. The match just went really well and it showed why these two are so near to the top... and Rhea Ripley hitting a dropkick is a real display of beauty! That wasn't a surprise too, but it was a real joy and most importantly, my booking dream for a Triple Threat NXT Women's Title match looks closer to be realized. The Champ Charlotte Flair destroyed her biggest NXT opponents and ruined the match (maybe), standing tall.
That would be nice and logical - these three ultra amazing talents to face off for the gold. It could be a really epic fight.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 IO SHIRAI VS. RHEA RIPLEY ENDED IN A NO CONTEST AFTER WWE NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPION CHARLOTTE FLAIR INTERRUPT IT.
