What a journey!

The IIconics adding an AEW chapter to their résumé honestly feels right, and I truly hope an AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship reign joins their accomplishments soon. I’m genuinely thrilled to see them in All Elite Wrestling.

Their road — from the indies, through TNA, and now landing in All Elite Wrestling — is proof of how misguided it was when WWE chose to split them up. Somehow, the so-called #1 promotion often frames women’s alliances as fragile — unstable, egocentric, doomed to collapse within a year or two.

But Cassie Lee and Jessie McKay have always felt right as a unit. Their chemistry is natural, their energy synced, and right now that blonde-glam aesthetic just amplifies their presence. They don’t need blood ties to radiate cohesion — plenty of legendary duos proved that long ago, including The Hardy Boyz.

Still, their debut could hit turbulence. The Brawling Birds — Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor — clearly have momentum, and unless Tony Khan and his creative team opt for a crafty, opportunistic win for the IInspiration (which I honestly wouldn’t mind), the Birds may continue their push.

What we do know is that this match already has a pre-story. The Birds spoiled Cassie and Jessie’s AEW arrival in Australia, which neatly sets this bout up as chapter one of what could become a layered feud. And if that rivalry does escalate toward a title clash, the stakes will skyrocket.

Personally, I can easily see the Birds being positioned for a future championship run first — which would only intensify things when the IInspiration inevitably chase them.

Can’t wait for Wednesday.

Que The IIconics añadan un capítulo en AEW a su currículum sinceramente se siente correcto, y de verdad espero que pronto un reinado como Campeonas en Parejas Femeninas de AEW se sume a sus logros. Estoy genuinamente emocionada de verlas en All Elite Wrestling.

Su camino — desde el circuito independiente, pasando por TNA y ahora aterrizando en All Elite Wrestling — es prueba de lo desacertado que fue cuando WWE decidió separarlas.
