The Role Model Has Unlocked a New Achievement
A few days ago, I was reading an old interview where she talked about her desire to travel and wrestle around the world, to collect unique experiences, saying that WWE is her home, but she needs adventures beyond it. I always noted that she had already tasted the Joshi Puroresu style early in her career — most memorably when she faced Asuka and lost her NXT Women's Championship to her in a KO submission, passing out rather than tapping, which says everything about who Bayley is. Now she was set to taste Lucha Libre — right from the spring, on the Mexican scene, in front of a Mexican audience.
I watched fragments and highlights. The full video is hard to find, I guess. But what came through even in those clips was enormous: the audience pop, the commentator's reaction — ALL OF IT WAS BIG. They chanted her name. And Bayley deserves every single chant. She is one of the most devoted, highly professional, and genuinely humane wrestlers out there — and that AAA debut was half of a dream come true.
Let me step back for a moment. I seriously think WWE should follow AEW's steps when it comes to cross-promotional talent exchanges — without necessarily buying every promotion worldwide just to stage their talent. They already have an agreement with TNA Wrestling, their old rival, so they can do the same with Japanese, UK, and other companies without assimilating them and turning them into new brands the way they did with Evolve, and now with AAA itself. Just exchange talents! No need for the show of money and power — especially when every four to six months you're making personnel layoffs.
But back to Bayley!
I think she will want more. More of AAA, more of the world's wrestling promotions, following in the footsteps of her bestie Mercedes Moné. And that gives WWE even more reasons to rethink its cross-promotional policies. Bayley is an amazing talent who deserves to be shared with the world beyond WWE's walls. I would love to see her test her skills against the talents of STARDOM, NJPW, CMLL — and why not ROH and even AEW stars? Like a rematch against Athena!
Despite coming up short in her bid to capture the Reina de Reinas title from Lady Flammer — thanks to interference from Las Toxicas at ringside — she wrote history and opened the door for bigger WWE names to be challenged by Mexico's top luchadores. Not that women like Chelsea Green and Lola Vice's appearances in AAA didn't count — they absolutely did. Green (alongside Ethan Page) held the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship, and Lola Vice currently holds that same title with Mr. Iguana. But Chelsea is a midcard wrestler on SmackDown with a ton of potential, and Lola Vice is already an NXT icon with her 4-0 WWE NXT Underground record. Bayley, on the other hand, is a Main Eventer. The impact she made was on a completely different level. She is known worldwide, despite the fact that this was her first match outside WWE in years, with approximately four years of independent wrestling experience before signing, in promotions like SHIMMER, NWA Championship Wrestling, and Shine Wrestling, under the name Davina Rose.
This AAA debut can also be seen as Bayley honoring her own Latino roots — her father is Mexican-American, which makes this experience even more personal and meaningful. And as always, she helped elevate the champion: Lady Flammer is now the longest-reigning Reina de Reinas Champion in AAA history, surpassing Taya Valkyrie's record of 945 days. Also worth noting: Nattie is yet another WWE connection in AAA's world, rounding out a growing and exciting cross-promotional relationship.
Bayley's debut was truly historical, impactful, and exciting — especially for her. And we're all here for whatever comes next.

Algunos sueños sí se hacen realidad — y Bayley es la prueba viviente de ello.
Hace unos días estaba leyendo una entrevista antigua en la que hablaba de su deseo de viajar y luchar por todo el mundo, de acumular experiencias únicas, diciendo que la WWE es su hogar pero que necesita aventuras más allá de él. Siempre noté que ya había probado el estilo Joshi Puroresu desde temprano en su carrera — sobre todo cuando se enfrentó a Asuka y perdió el Campeonato Femenino de NXT ante ella mediante un KO por sumisión, quedándose inconsciente en lugar de rendirse, lo cual dice todo sobre quién es Bayley. Y ahora le tocaba saborear la Lucha Libre — desde la primavera, en el escenario mexicano, ante un público mexicano.
Vi fragmentos y highlights. El vídeo completo es difícil de encontrar, supongo. Pero lo que se veía incluso en esos clips era enorme: la reacción del público, la reacción del comentarista — TODO FUE ENORME. Cantaron su nombre. Y Bayley se merece cada uno de esos cánticos. Es una de las luchadoras más dedicadas, profesionales y genuinamente humanas que existen — y ese debut en AAA fue la mitad de un sueño hecho realidad.
Permíteme dar un paso atrás un momento. Creo firmemente que la WWE debería seguir los pasos de AEW en cuanto a los intercambios de talentos entre promociones — sin necesidad de comprar todas las promociones del mundo solo para usarlas de escenario. Ya tienen un acuerdo con TNA Wrestling, su antiguo rival, así que pueden hacer lo mismo con empresas japonesas, británicas y de otros países sin asimilarlas ni convertirlas en nuevas marcas como hicieron con Evolve, y ahora con la propia AAA. ¡Solo intercambiemos talentos! No hace falta ese despliegue de dinero y poder — especialmente cuando cada cuatro o seis meses se producen despidos masivos de personal.

Creo que querrá más. Más de AAA, más de las promociones de lucha libre del mundo, siguiendo los pasos de su mejor amiga Mercedes Moné. Y eso le da a la WWE aún más razones para replantearse sus políticas de colaboración entre promociones. Bayley es un talento increíble que merece ser compartida con el mundo más allá de la WWE. Me encantaría verla probar sus habilidades contra los talentos de STARDOM, NJPW, CMLL — ¿y por qué no contra estrellas de ROH e incluso de AEW? ¡Como una revancha contra Athena!
