Between NXT Vengeance Day and Pro-Wrestling: EVE's events, that gem of women's wrestling history was almost lost — almost missed by me, almost missed by all of us!

First things first: that match was an amazing production. Bow down to CMLL and AEW. This was a brilliant booking.

To be honest, it's hard to follow all of the incredible women's wrestling promotions and divisions out there. But I'm doing my best with limited resources — and I can put my hand on my heart and say that Persephone has been on my radar as one of the most exciting new talents around.

That young woman won me over with her loyalty to CMLL, even as bigger doors opened. She landed a dual AEW/CMLL contract — the best of both worlds — without abandoning the house that built her. WWE was reportedly watching her closely too, but never made direct contact, and honestly? Good. She made the right call. Don't go to WWE yet, girl. Please. Not yet!

Her words about how CMLL feels like home say everything. And when I saw the all-women's show they put on — La Noche de las Amazonas — you'd have to be a soulless creature not to be moved by Persephone's devotion to the company and the passion of that crowd. But we don't measure a wrestler's qualities only by their loyalty. Persephone is a talented blend of technical and powerhouse styles that can thrive anywhere. I can easily imagine her dominant in Japan or in Europe.

That young woman has a great future.

And she beat Mercedes for the gold.

I have an inhuman respect for her talent. I have some issues with what I've heard about her real-life personality — a little bit. But folks, I bow down to her for allowing this booking and for the work she did in elevating Persephone. The widespread rumors say she may be shedding titles across multiple international promotions, possibly to clear the path for an AEW Women's World Championship run — and honestly, that sounds like a great story.

Somehow, Mercedes has always known how to elevate others without losing an ounce of her own aura of greatness — and that is a massive asset in this business. Especially in the women's scene. Watching the match today, I can say the work she did putting over this young Mexican talent was a masterpiece, and it multiplied the respect I already had for her.

This match was historical — for CMLL, for AEW, for all of us who care about women's wrestling. I can't wait to see where the careers of these two stunning competitors go from here. What I am sure of is that both Mercedes Moné and Persephone are aiming at greatness — and they both deserve every bit of it.

Primero lo primero: ese combate fue una producción increíble. ¡Aplausos de pie para el CMLL y AEW! Una programación brillante.

Para ser honesta, es difícil seguir todas las increíbles promociones y divisiones de lucha libre femenina que existen. Pero hago lo que puedo con recursos limitados — y puedo decir con la mano en el corazón que Persephone lleva tiempo en mi radar como uno de los talentos nuevos más emocionantes del panorama.

Esa joven me conquistó con su lealtad al CMLL, incluso cuando se abrieron puertas más grandes. Consiguió un contrato dual AEW/CMLL — lo mejor de los dos mundos — sin abandonar la casa que la construyó. Se dice que la WWE también la tenía en la mira, pero nunca hubo contacto directo, y francamente, ¿sabes qué? Bien. Tomó la decisión correcta. ¡No vayas a la WWE todavía, chica! ¡Por favor! ¡Todavía no!

Pero gente, me rindo ante ella por aceptar este booking y por el trabajo que hizo elevando a Persephone. Los rumores dicen que podría ir perdiendo títulos en varias promociones internacionales, quizás para preparar el camino hacia el Campeonato Mundial Femenino de AEW — y francamente, eso suena a una historia fantástica.

Mercedes siempre ha sabido cómo elevar a otras sin perder ni un ápice de su propia aura de grandeza — y eso es un activo enorme en este negocio. Especialmente en la escena femenina. Al ver el combate hoy, puedo decir que el trabajo que hizo para hacer brillar a esta joven talento mexicana fue una obra maestra, y multiplicó el respeto que ya le tenía.

Este combate fue histórico — para el CMLL, para AEW, para todas las que nos importa la lucha libre femenina. No puedo esperar a ver adónde van las carreras de estas dos impresionantes competidoras. Lo que sí tengo claro es que tanto Mercedes Moné como Persephone apuntan a la grandeza — y las dos se lo merecen.
