This week is sad for Impact Wrestling's fans, their KO divisions and the wrestling business overall!
Gail Kim vacated the Knockouts Title and said 'Farewell' to the Impact Zone fans and fans of women's wrestling all around the world!
It was known that her match at Bound for Glory will be her last match. She defeated Sienna and Allie for her last title in Impact and now she is leaving as 7-times Knockouts Champion (tie with Trish Stratus, who is 7-times WWE Women's Champion) with combined reigns of 711 days, 1-time KO Tag Team Champion (with Madison Rayne), Impact Hall of Fame Inductee (hoping that WWE will honored her, too), 1-time WWE Women's Champion (winning the belt in her debut, in 7-women Battle royal).
It was nice to see her thanking to her WWE and GFW/TNA Impact Wrestling best opponents and fellow Superstars and Knockouts. like Trish Stratus, Lita, Molly Holly, Awesome Kong and Taryn Terrell! I am really amazed that GFW showed that kind of maturity and respect! I am not surprised that Gail thanked to these women, because any of them helped her a lot through her career.
Of course, we hope that if there is a opportunity for even one night stand in the future, Kim as a competitor in her soul, will not miss to surprise us, pleasantly!
For now, we can say 'Goodbye' and best of luck to one of the Greatest Female Wrestlers of all time!
...And we can set our sights and start to think who will be the next KO Champion!
