Since her second coming in WWE Maria Kanellis accomplished:
- Become a mother;
- Compete in the Evolution Battle Royal;
- Will compete in this year's Women's Royal Rumble;
- Is the only woman present on the 205 Live Roster;
All of that are besides the rumours that she and Mike Bennett have asked for their release.
The whole thing is like: Just hire them, so the other promotions will not be able to do it!
From day one, there was a lot of controversy surrounding the couple. Starting with naming her husband after Maria - it reminds me of the Lanisters from Game of Thrones! 'Mike Kanellis' - come on is he her brother?! Maybe that's why they need to remind us that he is her husband...
Many of us, those who remember Maria from her first run, which was really nice and she was one of the top faces at the time, facing Victoria, Lita and Mickie James at the time. We LOVED HER! For a second I even believe that they will book her like Mickie James - actively. I even imagined her as a valet to her husband in SDL, getting 'into trouble' with other valets like Zelina Vega, Lana, even Maryse! But NO...
Don't get me wrong I am grateful for her booking at the Royal Rumble 2019! It was entertaining watching her messing around with Charlotte, Lacey Evans and Kairi Sane...Oh, and let's not forget: Alicia Fox! That was funny! (Maria: Wait! Wait! You and me we are friends...! Alicia Fox: I ain't got no friends!... total fun, the whole scene). But that's not enough!
Okay! She was injured, but after that - the great move was to send her with her brother... I mean husband in 205 Live!!! So what to expect: Inter-gender match between Maria and Leo Rush?
You can do better, WWE Creative! If she and Mike don't leave you, because of bad booking (I hope that they will stay) you need to book them properly. She had built herself as a strong heel when she was out of WWE and as I mentioned there are plenty of couples in WWE suitable enough to step in the ring against Kanellis-Bennett family. They even can be included in the WWE Mixed Match Challenge if there is another edition in 2019...
There are tons of possibilities, all we need is someone to grab them!
