CONTROVERSY: RONDA ROUSEY, THE 'F-WORD' AND MORE...

From bullying accusations to using the 'F-word', not the popular 'F'... Ronda Rousey is back into the controversy even out of WWE and wrestling in general.

Looks like one of the biggest signees for the last year and her attempt to create a family will not be in peace.

MMA-WOMEN COMES WITH THE ATTITUDE

Ronada Rousey is not Shayna Baszler!

Baszler learned to respect the wrestling ring ropes, craft, and art due to her time in the indies. Baszler learns to pay respect by working with indie icons like Mercedes Martinez. She wasn't just picked for her name and charisma.

Ronda Rousey just had an angle at WrestleMania that included the Rock and the Authorities and then she was picked because she was one of the biggest names in combat sport and WWE was all about developing their Women's Evolution, so they needed her.

While Shayna worked hard her way through Mae Young Classic 2017, Ronda just appeared on Royal Rumble and pointed at the Wrestlemania's sign!

Rousey came up with the confidence and attitude, way more different than Shayna's.

Rousey did for one year what many hard-working women in the wrestling business, struggle to accomplish through their whole career. She got spoiled, she got bored. She grew up tired of WWE Universe and then she left with a broken hand...

'F-WORD'

Rousey's 'turn' was curious. It was so natural and at some points, I think how much of her real opinion is included in her segments. "I will participate in a 'Beat the clock challenge! Whatever this gimmick match this is!".

She started to break the kayfabe. She calls the wrestling fake. She calls her fellow Superstars by their real names, trying to break their gimmicks and characters, developed with hard work.

How fake is pro-wrestling? It's 'fake' as TV series... It's 'fake' as fiction! It's 'fake' as art can be fake because it's a form of a mixed art - mix of drama and athleticism, choreography and script... but it's not all that and this is what Rousey failed to understand.

In the MMA you have a purely physical battle, where you must knock down your opponent.

Professional wrestling art demands to work with your opponent. To stay safe. This is the fine particle of that art! Hit your opponent with a precision that will keep her/him alive and healthy, not send her/him in the wheelchair!

There are injuries. There is hard work, behind the 'circus' as some people, not familiar with the business calls it. I had to explain in simple words to a friend of ours that 'I prefer well-choreographed match with a psychological element in it, then a brutal battle, with one simple and primal goal'...

Pro wrestling demands more than physical skills -  it demands actor's skills, it demands some charisma or good technical skills. WWE really spoiled us as giving us characters with a multiset mix of athleticism, drama, and charm, who are so alive.

But dear, Ronda, most of us know that it's 'fake' and we love it this way. I like for the symbolism, the psychological side and admire those people's motivation to do this... I like that they are working together to bring a match that looks so realistic and sometimes it is. I love its 'FAKENESS', I don't like UNGREATFULNESS!!!

WHO IS THE BULLY?

Shayna Baszler played the role of the bully in NXT with so much determination and persuasiveness. I think that she is a really tough lady, but you can sense that she knows were her interests lies and she is willing to collaborate so she could be part of the art, of the product and she is better. We haven't heard someone to be regularly injured by her, despite her vicious moves and spots (like the one with the stomp at someone's elbow, which looks horrifying).

Well, these days Nia Jax brought the controversy and as a real badarse asked for some retribution (I don't think that mommy Rousey will come to WWE anytime soon, Nia). Jax spoke about Alexa Bliss's injuries and that they might be caused by Rousey. Well, Lexi is silent and professional. It looks that she prefers silence outside the ring.

I don't know if there is intention. Come on - what kind of a human being should be to harm your colleagues in a business where teamwork is central part for the success of the product? If this is true (I have some doubts) it means that Rousey is a real beast. That her attitude, boredom, and anger towards WWE and WWE Universe at one point blindsided her... It may happen. We have wrestlers doing this - the case of Sexy Star and Rosemary... The exists of an intention for the harm is questionable. Sorry, but Nia Jax must know better how sloppy you could be in the ring - Ember Moon, Becky Lynch's nose, Charlotte's drop on Flair's last Raw match, before being drafted. With all due respect to Nia Jax - she grows up a lot in the ring, but she is one of the less to be judgemental of slopiness and get too much into the segment or the match (once again Becky's nose situation).

So, I don't think that these allegations are that strong, but Rousey's attack on the core of the business is what matters and angers fans, analysts and connoisseurs of pro-wrestling. My own opinion is that I was interested in Rousey signing, I followed her career (I didn't see much development) and I have fun with her narrow lines like 'Wrestling is fake' and some 'masterpieces like 'The only door you have broken is to the John Cena's bedroom!' (addressing Nikki Bella, priceless). I didn't enjoy her first title win from Alexa, I enjoyed the rematch. I enjoyed her WM's Main event with Becky and Charlotte, I enjoyed her confidence until her attitude became overwhelming and when she quit I met the news with indifference - the show must go on.

Ronda Rousey was a name, with some talent in-ring, I have never watched her in MMA match and I won't because I don't like 'real' raw brutal fights that destroy people's lives. She helped to elevate the women's division as much as all the women she worked with elevated her in WWE. It was kind of proportional, SOMEHOW, even as she was the headliner and if she forgets that - well... I have one thing to say:

 I don't like UNGRATEFULNESS!!!

Sincerely, hope that this is not the case...
