SMACKDOWN RESULTS, APR. 03Q 2020: THE SAMOAN POWERHOUSE

A day before WrestleMania we had a short preview of what may happen at The Show of the Shows. A match, with talented Superstars, turned into a massacre and bodies lying everywhere.

It was an intensive experience with more of our favorite twists and dramatic elements. What am I talking about?

TAMINA defeated LACEY EVANS & NAOMI,
IN A TRIPLE THREAT MATCH

With the SmackDown Women's titleholder and The Boss on the commentary, this match was destined to be a nice build-up to the forthcoming main battle for the gold at Mania.

Since I was mentioning how fast this was booked, WWE Creatives decided to put a lot of action in one segment.

So, it began with Naomi and Lacey attacking Tamina as an alliance. Of course, they didn't have much luck as Jimmy Snuka's daughter quickly regain dominance. There were a lot of single spots like Naomi's springboard kick, Lacey Evans Bronco buster.

Meanwhile, Sasha Banks and Bayley tried their best to avoid hard questions about their friendship at stake and what will happen if The Boss has the opportunity to pin the champ who is her bestie. Both even started to praise Naomi, just to avoid the uncomfortable subject.

At the end of the match, while Lacey and Naomi were on each other's throats, Sasha interfered and pushed the Sassy Sothern Belle into the steel steps, allowing the Glow to relax on the ring post. Well, Naomi didn't appreciate the 'help' and kicked the Boss with her trademark kick, then she nailed Tamina. Of course, Bayley interfered on her own and gave the Samoan Powerhouse surprising advantage, so Tamina connected with a Superkick for the win.

The interesting things happened post-match as Bayley tried to congratulate Tamina with a handshake, just to receive a kick in the jaw on her own. Sasha entered the ring to check on her friend just to realize that she is alone with the angry Samoan. The Boss tried to work her way out of the conflict by trying to evoke team B.A.D.'s memories in Tamina just toe nd in a vicious Samoan Drop...

Overall:

It's nice to see what all of these three women are capable of in that match. Be sure that we will see more on Sunday (as Bayley said). All three women in the match were great in their own styles and showed a desire to win and put a great show.

Naomi was really impressive as always, I love the final part where she kicked out of the Samoan Drop and did some really good attacks. She's a world-class wrestler and the title might be hers sooner or later.

Bayley and Banks' interference, the whole appearance was a nice, spicy touch, especially when they got beaten down by Tamina.

It was nice to see Tamina getting a push and a heat, as a wild card for the Wrestlemania 36's SmackDown Women's Title Fatal Five-Way Elimination match. We haven't seen her working fro so much time and it was nice to see her smashing and kicking out her way to the victory...
