Now as they are done with the MITB Ladder match qualifyings, Team Raw was ready to flood our TV, etc. channels with women's action which is admirable.
5 women's matches! OMG! It's not my birthday or maybe I am dead!!! No, I am not, WWE and friends! It looks like Raw decided to take back it's the title of the scene of women's revolution, that it was in the past and it was kind of great in these extreme times of global pandemic.
SHAYNA BASZLER defeated INDI HARTWELL
It looked like the NXT and WWE Performance Center talents were the special guests for most of the night, for most of it!
What can I say about this match?! It was a fed up for Shayna and she brutalized her opponent Hartwell even after the final bell following the referee's match stoppage decision. We had a reply from the last week, people! Baszler stomped at Indie's elbow in the same fashion as she did last week!
Then the insult continues as she brought a ladder and... you can see on the pic what followed... Brutality!
NIA JAX defeated KAIRI SANE
This week Kairi Sane received a rematch against the freshly returned Jax, who is in a victory streak from two weeks since her comeback from double knee surgery.
Sane put more offense and we had another deja vu as we saw Asuka backstage cheering for her tag partner. Despite all the Kairi's attacks, one huge Samoan Drop (and 'Bye, bye') ended the match with victory for the powerhouse Jax.
LIV MORGAN defeated RUBY RIOTT
It looks like the creatives decided to capitalize on this unfinished storyline... with some shortages of members...
Nice showdown from two really athletic and competitive wrestlers. Dominance was shared like in a textbook and in the end a Flatliner by Morgan.
WWE NXT WOMEN'S CHAMPION CHARLOTTE FLAIR defeated KAYDEN CARTER
The new Queen of NXT decided to start sending personal messages to the new division she is topping. Her first opponent/victim was the young prospect Kayden Carter who actually appeared in her second Raw match... unsuccessful...
Carter was in her top shape and didn't allow the Queen to steal the win easily. There was even an Octopus hold applied by Kayden, but in the end, after a Spear and Figure Eight, the talented NXT competitor tapped out becoming the first name scratched don the list.
Next might be Mia Yim...
BIANCA BELAIR defeated SANTANA GARRETT
Santana Garrett was the second WWE PC's talent to make a Raw debut following Indie Hartwell, sadly she followed her fellow trainee's footsteps even in the result of the match!
How could Garrett end up in another way against the EST of WWE?
The match was intensive and not a typical squash. Paid of respect to Santana's indie iconic status! But the end was the usual. Bianca took another victory.
OVERALL:
I am really amazed that we saw 5 matches as three of the matches included NXT and WWE PC's Superstars. It was kind 'Look who is still here... maybe!'. It was really good to see Santana and Kayden in action, as well this newcomer Hartwell, who took a stand against Baszler and avoided the first elbow stomp attempt for the Queen of Spades annoyment. I thin that Carter had a really huge moment in there being the first NXT woman to face Charlotte. Really good and interesting paid for respect from the creatives!
The second best thing was that we saw two of the MITB participants working last night. The way they qualified was quick so they might get some vacation... But there were a statement to be made (by Baszler) and rematch to be played (by Nia). Asuka was in a relaxed mode after all the work she did prior, on and after WM 36. Maybe we will see her next week. Kairi - she did what she could!
The third interesting fact: We definitely felt the missing of Sarah Logan, in the 'Riott Squad's rivalry' match! Despite that, I enjoyed watching Liv kicking Ruby (I am sure that Riott will have her payback) it was obvious that the main component is missing and that made most of us sad. But I want to congratulate the Raw creatives, for not giving up on that story, because there is a lot of potentials, for a kickoff match, at MITB for these two ladies! And they deserve a spotlight for their ultimate in-ring talent and work...
