AWOW Team expected two important things to happened at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II (or Back 2 Brooklyn) - Women's title match and long anticipated debut!
Both things are equally important for the women's wrestling connoisseurs. Of course the title match is important because it has to compete with WWE Women's championship rematch at SummerSlam, for rating. I don't know actually which of the both rematches I want to see the most and can't wait to watch. All I know is that Bayley and Asuka are under serious pressure. Many expectations and controversy is surrounding that fight.
On the other side we have Ember Moon's (aka Athena) arrival. We know that it is happening, but we don't now how and when exactly it will be happening, during the Takeover.
1. AT THE DAWN OF AN EPIC REMATCH!!!
This match is able to change NXT and WWE's women's division forever. It can bring new high standards. It can steal the show...
Or it can be a 20 minutes, "We have seen this before!" match!
We, in AWOW can feel the static electricity waves, which running through the air (despite the fact that we are in Bulgaria,we still can feel it!).
The most important participants are Bayley and Asuka and many sights and hopes are laying on their shoulders, plus the responsibility for the image of one division which, they helped to build.
I am worried for Bayley! She's been into so much past two months. She faced some challenges. She had to prepare for what she deserved - a rematch. Bayley really needs to show something new, something that can match the champion's techniques and maneuvers. The last time we saw her (when actually, we saw her for the last time?... oh yes), she was facing Nia Jax (again). My colleague in AWOW told me: "She needs to do some new maneuvers! She didn't show anything new!"... First I disagree. But now I can see it clearly: Bayley didn't show anything new for months. Her Belly-to-Bayley from the second rope, executed on Nia Jax, was epic, but nothing new because she had done it before (on Eva Marie for example).
There is nothing wrong with that, for me. First NXT/WWE have to watch for their employees helth, maybe that's why they didn't allow many extreme moves to be executed, especially from their top stars (like Bayley). But if she is able to repeat her classic moves against Asuka, then we are all destined to see a replay of their NXT TakeOver:The End match.
Yeah, it's still not sure that Bayley will win her match or lose it! If we follow the logic she will lose it - Asuka is a way better than our lovely Bay! The difference-maker in here is how she will lose. I hope that Bayley is really prepared with something new, that she can use to take a stand against The Empress of Tomorrow. I hope that she will put more than a good or average effort.
We all expect an excellent match from Bayley and Asuka!
About Asuka .... well, we don't have comments. Asuka is (really), the greatest worker that WWE/NXT had ever signed, these days (excluding the fact that they missed, many amazing female-wrestlers who they have in their rosters and lost due stupid decisions - I'm not forgiving them about Ivelisse!). I don't like to push someone over the others, but it's a simple fact - Asuka is the best and she is the best because she comes from different, more serious background! The other girls are NXT and WWE are great and somehow it's not so fair to compare them to Asuka, because we are talking about different Universes. Now The Empress can do only one thing - to help her American fellow Superstars to reach her level and that is possible.
2. EMBER MOON IS RISING IN THE SKY, THIS SATURDAY! THIS IS WHAT I CALL A NEW ERA!!!
WWE NXT Universe will have the greatest opportunity to see the debut of one of the legendary indie scene woman icon!

I love what Triple H and William Regal are doing "down there" in NXT! NXT becomes equally valuable product next to RAW and SmackDown Live. Most of the time it is even better! I love the opportunity they gave to indie workers like Leva Bates and Santana Garrett. I still have a dream to see these two women (Garrett and Bates),Taeler Hendrix and Ivelisse Velez as a official part of NXT! That will be great! Because all of them are women who have proven their names with hard work and earning the fans respect and love out of WWE!
