RAW RESULTS, APRIL 1, 2019: BRING THE HANDCUFFS, READ THEM THEIR RIGHTS!

Our weekly results overviews are back!

The timer is counting down the last days and hours before WrestleMania 35. This year the Grandest Stage of Them All will be historical for women's wrestling as three women's dream will come true: Main Eventing WrestleMania!

The situation is heated! We will have three women's matches, two titles battles and a battle royale. That's why this weeks Raw was full of 'bodies flying everywhere' in every single tag team match booked for the evening. And we had a lot of forced allies, for those matches as well. We expected everything to explode at every step in every battle that we saw last night!

RESULTS:

STEPHANIE McMAHON MADE AN ANNOUNCEMENT THAT WE ACTUALLY EXPECTED!

Her April's Fool joke might have been lame, but her overall speech was typical 101% Stephanie McMahon - well presented in her manner.

Steph knows how to use the mic.

For me that appearance was a reminder of who is the Lady Boss in WWE aaand to make things official. The announcement wasn't that big of a surprise. You have two Champions in a Main Event, so what else could you do with that, except for putting all the title on the line. What will be the consequences of that? We will post an article tomorrow.

But now, it's official, confirmed and we are on our way to the (Women's) Main Even at WrestleMania 35! It's a TRIPLE THREAT, WINNER TAKES ALL TITLE MATCH, involving THE MAN-BECKY LYNCH vs. THE QUEEN-CHARLOTTE FLAIR vs. THE BADDEST WOMAN ON THE PLANET!

Oh, just wait for George's Predictions!

BETH PHOENIX & NATALYA AND WWE WOMEN'S TAG TEAM THE BOSS 'N' HUG CONNECTION OF SASHA BANKS & BAYLEY defeated THE IICONICS OF BILLIE KAY & PEYTON ROYCE AND NIA JAX & TAMINA, in an 8-WOMAN TAG TEAM MATCH
Winners on RAW, vile rivals for WM 35!

A lot of tag team dynamics, and a lot of action as a warm up before WrestleMania 35! Of course there were a lot of tension in the different tag camps, as The Boss 'n' Hug Connection and The Glamazon and Natalya were on the edge of exploding in a brawl most of the time, while Nia Jax and Tamina left the IIconics to do all the job (i.e. to take all the beatings).

How can you describe every team's role in that match?

The Boss 'n' Hug Connection - in synchrony, like we have never seen them before
Let's start with the champs. Bayley and Sasha are on the same page since the moment they got that belts. I've never seen them that united and determined to win as a team as these days. They are more hungry and competitive, more confident and powerful. I like them as Champions and I really love the creatives idea to book them to grab those belts. I am not sure if they're going to keep them, but i secretly hope that to happen. They are really on a different level in their performance and relationships. They played a really stable tag team with really stable partnership all the time.

The Glamazon occupied the ring and turned the match in 'All about Beth' situation finishing Peyton Royce for the victory
Beth and Natalya was the team that wanted to prove themselves. Especially Beth! She turned the whole match into a Glamazon - centred event. Yes, she came back from retirement and she needed to prove herself, but sometimes during the match she crossed the border, daring to attack and insult her tag team partners (Banks and Bayley). Phoenix did what we expected: she occupied the ring and dominated...

Peyton Royce and Billie Kay did amazing job taking bumps and hitting moves, as well.
And here comes the team of the IIconics! Since the beginning of 2019 the IIconics finally got the booking they deserved. We might not see them often on Tuesday's SDLive, but they were involved in two of the most important PPVs on the Road to WrestleMania - Royal Rumble and Elimination Chamber. The second one were really important for their development in the Main Roster and they didn't disappoint. Even Sasha Banks praised them by saying that if she and Bayley hadn't won the belts, back there, The Boss would have preferred Kay and Royce as a winners. We totally agree. Last night the IIconics got the hardest job -  to take bumps by the Legend and co. and they did it with professionalism and athleticism.  I felt sad when I saw Peyton set for the Glam Slam, but after she took it, I just said 'What a sell! That girl is amazing! They can do a lot of great things if they are allowed to'. Can't wait to see them at WM 35, despite the fact that they enter it out of nowhere! They deserve it!

OMG Moment! Beth Phoenix throws Tamina through the barricade. Is she copied Nia Jax and send her a message?
Nia and Tamina! They had that sneaky strategy. 'Leave them to kill each other and we eventually will deal with the last woman standing'... Hm, no! Not exactly. Last night they were more like 'We are choosing our battles and this one is one we can lose'. They are keeping their strength for the biggest match. Apart from Tamina who received some damage when she tripped The Glamazon, and Beth run into the barricade with Snuka, but overall they were more sit back and watch, let the IIconics sacrifice themselves. Nice strategy, which they might use this Sunday! Actually, I think that this Sunday, Nia might receive the same clash in the barricade from Beth.

Overall the match's drama between teams members made it even more better and entertaining. There were moments like when Beth pushed Banks off the ropes, so Bayley wasn't able to tag and more... These 8 women set the stage for a glorious 'welcome back' match at The Show of the Shows that will establish the WWE Women's' Tag team titles and tag team division for sure.
The reaction of The Boss and Natalya after The Glamazon dealt with Tamina

WWE RAW WOMEN'S CHAMPION RONDA ROUSEY, WWE SMACKDOWN WOMEN'S CHAMPION CHARLOTTE & BECKY LYNCH defeated THE RIOTT SQUAD of RUBY RIOTT, LIV MORGAN & SARAH LOGAN
Going to jail!
I have never seen an 'arrest story line' that entertained as much as the women did last night! I started to giggle and overall I was really entertained with that angle. I loved it! From the moment they started to brawl and the security entered the ring just to got their butts (mouths) kicked, to the policemen and policewomen that handcuffed the Superstars!

Barging with each other since the beginning.

Well the top three WWE females showed themselves so fierce that there is nothing - nor handcuffs, nor police cars, that could hold their rage against each other.

The Riott Squad tried their best as always. Sarah Logan's merciful submission, wasn't enough to stop the Man

Let's talk about the match! There was some match where The Riott Squad* put some effort (Sarah Logan's new submission is really entertaining), there were some blows and strikes and moves, but all the time there was one thing that weighed over the whole match build up: everyone expected the moment when The Man,The Queen and The Baddest Woman on the Planet, will jump on each other!

Rousey quickly finished Liv Morgan in order to get into the real job of the nigh: Beating her opponents

Of course it happened! That was the idea! And this time it was epic with all that innocent security guards and police officers who received some punches and kicks. Of course the exchange of hits between the three future Main Eventers of WrestleMania, weren't missing in it all. Even handcuffed they continued to attack one-another.
Security attempt to stop these three Tasmanian devils

This angle left us asking ourselves: how they will escape prison and what will WWE do next? It looks like the Main Even is threatened not to happen, but we'll see...

Big Boot!

Could we have a 'Prison break' this Sunday, before the show? Just imagine it: The Man, The Queen and The Baddest Woman on the planet escaping prison to enter the Main Event at WrestleMania 35! That would be great!

Nothing can hold us: Handcuffed but still ready to tear each other apart!

Screaming threats! 'See you at WrestleMania, B***es!'

*NOTE: These days I heard a fan telling that The Riott Squad are misused and are losing heat. For me, getting to understand this business, better and better with every year, every show that I watch, I think that it's a big pay of respect using them as opponents for the Top Stars. Today they are 'jobbing' for the Greatest of the Moment, tomorrow they'll be great on their own! The Squad has that potential.
